GIRLS HOCKEY
TiVerton arena was the scene of a •
very exciting hockey game between
the Ripley-Huron ' Central girls, .
team and 'a team of Tiverton area
girls on Tuesday, January 27th.
The game opened with Tiverton
scoring the first goal. Then it was
Nancy MacDonald scoring for
Ripley assisted by Sandra Dawson.
This did not last long as Darlene
Coiling scared assisted by Sandra
Dawson giving us the lead.
Tiyerton was right on cue• and did
the same thing tieing up the game
once' more. The :final goal was
scored by Janice Elliott , unassisted.
thus giving 'a 'final score of lor
Riple,,v-Hirron. The' gcial tending
was done by. Sandra Stewart who
did a very good job along ,with the
rest of the team.

Theallnual meeting of Lucknow •
Presbyterian Church was held On
Thursday, January 29, 'in' the
, Church Hall at 8 P.m. The meeting
was opened with the reading of
Psalm 146.. and prayer by the
t chairrnan, Rev. Glenn, Noble. "-
James R. 'Henderson was appoint -
ed secretary.
Mimeographed reports were cir-
culated and with a 'few corrections,
adopted. The proceeds from the
sale of the Dungannon Church
building were assigned to the
Ripley Church
Held Annual
The annual meeting of ,St.
Andrew's United Church, Ripley
was held on Tuesday evening,
,January 27 7 Rev. Cecil Carnochan
chaired the meeting and Mr. D. K.
MCLay was nominated secretary for
the Meeting'. Mrs. Robert Osborne
was nominated press reporter.
The `In Memoriam" was read
by Clerk of Session: Walter Forster
and a ntintite:s silence' was
Observed.
An encouraging financial report
was, given by the treasurer, D. K'7
McLay.
ELECTION 'OF OFFICERS
Bob' 'Harris, Harold Elliott and
'Bob 'Fair replace the retiring
members_ on the Board, of SteW-
ards. George Tranter and Clayton
Nicholson were reappointed audit-
ors: Francis BoYle and Mrs. Lloyd
Worthington *ere elected to the
session.' SoMe other nominees
have yet to be contacted regarding
the office. • The Presbytery and
Conference delegate for 1976 is
Mrs. D. B. Blue, With Mrs. Reg
Moore as alternate.
Rev. Cecil Carnochan expressed
thanks on behalf o the people to
Church Treasurer. D. IC MCLay for
all his work during 'the year and,
especially in the preparation of the
annual report. A vote of thanks
Was made by Mrs. William Arnold*
to the minister, the organist and
the choir. ,
The meeting adjourned with
Rev. C. Carnochan pronouncing
the benediction.
Blinding Fund for the repairs. on
the Church Tower. It was agreed '
that the board should look into the
• posSibility of carpeting for the
'church entrance, 'stairs,, aisles and
front; that, a report, .be made to the
congregation for final' approval;
and that the money from Miss
Helen Harper's estate ,be•used 'for
this, project. It was noted that 'the,
congregation had exceeded their
accepted allocation for the past
couple of years, and an allocation of,
$3000 was accepted.

of Church Officers made at the
meeting, Ken Laidlaw, Art Putney,
MI.'S, Jack '(Audrey) MacDonald,
Mrs. Edward (Nancy)' 'Brown,
Donald MCCormick and Bruce
Raynard were nominated to -the
Board. Gordon' Fisher, - Virden
Mowbray, James R. Henderson
and Wallace Wilson were re-
apponted as. Trustees. Alf Herbert
and Cyril Brown were appointed as
auditors for the ''coming year. Mrs.
Bill (Mary)' Nelson was elected
Financial Secretary and Treasurer,
positions previously held by Mrs.
George (Betty) McInnes and Tony .
JohnStone, respectively. • '
A vote of thanks to Mr. 'and Mrs.
Noble was moved by, Mis. Noble
(Jessie) Johnston. The meeting
was closed with prayer.

,On January 15th. girls' floor
hockey was held:
In the first game, the Stamped-
ets and Wild Fire came to a Q-0 tie.
In the second game. the Nudies
played the Road Runners.. The
score was 2-0. Mary Farrell scored
both times for the Road Runners.
In the third game. the. Tiger Cats
defeated the Killers '4-1. Cheryl.
Whitney 'scored for the Killers.
Kaye. Walden once for the Tiger
Cats and Lisa Collins three times.
In the first game on January
20th. the Nudies beat the Tiger
Cats 1-0. Helen 'Kempton scored.
-The second game had the
Stampeders in front of •the Killers
2-0. Heather Harris arid Kim
Dalton scored.
In the third game they Road
Runners beat the• •Wild Fire 1-0.
Julie Farrell scored.
On Jaimary 27th, three exciting •
floor hockey games were held 7

In the first• game the Tiger Cats
defeated Wild Fire 3-2. Lisa ,
Farrell scored once and Kaye
Walden twice for the Tiger. Cats.
Debbie Lamb and Andrea Farrell
scored for Wild Fire.
Due to 'the stormy weather and'
icy road\we didn't have to go to
school on JAnuary 19, 22, 23 arid .
