have sinned and come short"• of the
glory of God." (Rom. 3:23); and
"the wages of sin is death', but the
gift of God is 'eternal life' through
Jesus Christ our Lord". (Rom.
.0:23). You work for sin and on
payday, you get death. Anyone
interested in these wages? Now
then, why not receive that free gift
which is eternal life in Jesus.
Christ? 'For "God commended His
love toward us, in that while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for
us". (Rom. 5-8), God loved you so
much that He could not see you
perish ,forever. So He paid the
price for you by giving His own
precious Son to die, to shed His
blood. We deserved to die not our'
Master. But praise God for death
was not able to ,hold Him!
Now "by grace are ye 'Saved
through faith: and not of yourselv-
es; it is the gift of God; not of works
lest any man should boast. (Eph.
2:8-9). No one was ever able to
work for a free gift or else it is no
gift. So now what do you do With 'a
free gift? ',First you say, "thank
you" to the giver, don't you? Then
you receive it, use 'it and enjoy it.
Thank you Lord Jesus!,
"Behold, I stand at the door and
knock; if any man hear my voice
and open the door, I will come into'
him and will sup with ,him and he
with me."' (Rev. 3:20). Jesus is
knocking at your door and is willing
to come 'in to your life if you will
only let Him. "As many as
received Him, to them' gave He
power to become the sons of God,•
even to then) that believe on His
name," (John 1:12).
You see; that Christians 'do have
a very great hope and future in .this
present day world. They 'will be
laughed 'at but in the end have the
greatest laugh and happiness such
as toIre World cannot offer!
Would you please, give the Biblf
and its claims.about Jesus serious
consideration? As a born again
-Christian, myself, I can assure you
that you. will find ifiegreatest Lover
of all, mankind giving a love, a joy,
a peace, that can be found in none
other.
Yours sincerely,,
Murray Vandriel,
R.R. 5, Lucknovv.
