LETTER TO. THE EDITOR
Writes On
•
Dear Mr. Editor,
-Thank you very much for your
time• 'and 0! space in'' your, gaper',
• wherein 'readers may express their ,
'opinion concerning • their faith.
Also 1- thank Mr, David Rhody for
explaining' his faith 'in ..Baha'u'llah
in th.e Sentinel of Jantiary. 7, 19.76. •
I 'was glad, :to, see, Mr. Rhody,
that you have a 'Bible and • .you
showed me ,sbnie . Bible. •lierses •
wherewith . yoti,* back up your
opinion.- .1 also looked 'them up • and.'
'discovered that you' printed only
parts of it that fit your opinion.
Had you printed all; it would give a
coinplete. different picture; 'not
what I like to hear or see but what
God .says•and sees,
You, Say- , that 'litahal. is • an
independent:world' religion:. NoW
God says in Romans 12: 2 "And be
not conformed to this' world but be
ye transformed by the renewing of
yOurmind, that ye may prove what
is that good and acceptable, will of
God": Isaiah, 24:5 sayS, "The ,
earth": also is 'defiled under the
'inhabitants thereof because they
havetransgressed the laws; chang.7
ed the . ordinances, broken, the
everlasting covenant".'. And JameS
4;. 4 says, "Ye adulterers -and.'
adulteresses, know• ye twit' that .the
friendship of this world is eninity,
with God?. ...Whosoever: therefore.
Will be. a friend of the world is the
enemy of God". •
This is.' the first reason • that 'I
cannot -join. this world. religion.
This world haS-ntithing to .offer but.
hate, murder., starvation'; just
look in the, paper and on TV. All it:
showS ..yon.iS misery. from. 'early to'
late, nothing that•wbidd attract any.
of us to be:a.'part of it,. , Now God
offers .us ."sOmethiog• that goes
beyond .our imaginations. • That is
•the bloodCif 'Jesus Christ,'his
which shed for the'Sin Of the
whole world that' whoSoever believ-,
eth on Him shoUldnot perish with..
this untoward.'generation but have -
'everlasting life' in. His,. presence'
with Our Father our ,Creator.
S.ecotid•ly; you have .yottr • own
divine 'messenger, as if,' God's
messenger was not good enough.
Listen, to what God says. "He that
despised. MoSes', law. died Without
mercy under two or three" witness-
es; of how much sorer. punishment,
suppose ..ye, shall.) he • be -thought
worthy, who has trodden under foot,
the Son of.God?, and haVe counted .
the blood of the covenant Where7 .
with He• was sanctified, an unholy'
thing; and hath done', despite unto .
the • Spirit. of 'grace". (He.b. 10,: •
;28-29.) .
Jesus,. the Son', of God,' also
testifies, 'Tut I know you, that ye
hay.e not the love of God in you.. •1,
am come-in my -Pather'S name and
ye receive me not: if another -shall.
come in his own name, him ye will,.
receive." (John $:,42-43).: "Then if
'any man shall Say- unto. 'yon,- 'La,
here is Christ,* there, ,believe it
not, for -there arise false
Christs,' false prophets, and shall
show 'great signs and wonders,' in
so much• that-if it were: possible,
they shall deceive the very elect.
Behold, I hay.e told you before,
whereof if: they shall say unto you,
'Behold.; he is in .the .desert"., go
not -forth,' "behold, he is in the
secret chambers, 'believe it not".
(Matt. 24: 2a-25.). •
So this is my second reason for
rejecting this 'devil's, triCk. on
• Christians. , So let no• man deceive
me-. "He 'that committeth sin is of.
the devil; for the deVil sinnetIT from
the , beginning. F6r this purpose
the Son of Go'l •(Jesus) was' made
.manifest, that. He might destroy
the workS of the devil". (John 3:8),
Now, look at your next statement
that Balieteilah came to fulfill the
paSt revelations, and you back -it up
with 'Bible verses. That shows to
me that your doctrine -is not so
independent, with it's own books,
• but you ,steal from God's Book and
give it yOur own meaning, sound
ing like another, gospel. Listen to
what God 'says in' Galatians 1: 6-9,
marvel that. you are so. soon
removed from him that called you
into the grace of Christ unto
another. gospel which is not another
but there be some that trouble you
and would pervert , the gOSpel of
Christ. But though we ,or an angel
from Heaven preach any other
gOspel unto you than that which we
have preached' unto you, let him be
accursed. As said before, so say I
again, if any man preach any
other goSpel unto you than that ye'
haVe received, let him be accurs,
ed"
•As you can see this is clear
language. It is God himself who
says so, not Murray, or else you
could throw this in the garbage.
I also disagree that Christians,
Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems, etc.
have the same advent of Baha'ul-.
lah. We have just had our
'Christinastime, not' our Baha'u'llah
season,'' (MaYbe some had a
baha'u'llah tirne, but that is what
the world offers): All the founders
of these other religions are' dead.
Their graves proVe they' are dead.
But the grave of Jesus Christ is
empty: He is risen as, He said He
would, leaving His people,heie for
awhile to declare to this world that
there is One who is mightier. than
death and hell. Halleluiah! And He
is.gone to •our Father in Heaven to
prepare a place for all' those that
believe and accept: His perfecf
work of redemption at the cross of
Cal4ary. 1 serve a risen Saviour,
not a dead. man who was not able tb
deliver hiS own'life out of the hands
of death. Jesus Christ, the Son of
God is coming back soon to receive
His followers. Buddha won't,
Baha'u'llah won't. Mohammed
won't, because they are desad..,%
But • this is enough of "bur
differences, for "we wrestle not
against flesh and_blood but against
principalities; • against . powers,
a6g:1a2.in)st the rulers of darknesS of
this world, against spiritual wick-
edness in high places". (Eph.
Now, I don't know who introduc-
ed you to .Baha'u'llah, but may I
introduce you to Jesus Christ, ,The
same who in the beginning With
God and created 'al) things that
were made. •
First of all admit that you have
failed and grieved God. "For a1y
