Effective April 1, 1916 Billing
Lucknow Hydro has applied to the Ontario Hydro for' the
following rate increase, effective April 1, 1976. '
KILOWATT. HOUTc —KWH COST PER KWH
First 50 KWH 5.0c
Next 200 KWH 2.5c
Next 500 KWH Only to those with a Hydro
approved water heater 1.75c
All additional KWH , 1.851
Minimum billing , 3.50 per month
The above rates are NET and subject to a 5% late 'payment '
charge.
General Service. Rate Structure may he obtained upon ap-
plication at the Municipal Office 528-3539.

In all of Ontario there are only 6 municipal- .
ities that have lowtr Hydro rates than Lucknow.
However due to increased costs to the Lucknow Hydro-Sys-
tem for porker supplied by. Ontario Hydro,,' materials and sup-
plies used in line construction, operation and maintenance, ex-
pansion and growth, salaries and wages, it has become neces-
sary to increase the hydro rates to you, the customer.
The new rates will become effective on all bills issued on
and after April 1, 1976:

on Thursday, Februafy 19th at 1.0
p.m. Courtesy remarks were givin

Canada and the Institute Grace.

and directors Mrs. Bob Gilchrist

LANGSIDE
Mrs. Debbie Fleming, and her
four sons have rented the- Bregman
farm house formerly known as the
Brooks farm and moved in on
Saturday, January .10th: Mrs.
Fleming comes from :Toronto and
had been living with her sister in
Culross. We welcome them to this
community.
Karen Young attended her
cousin Sharon Struther's birthday
party .at her home in Lucknow on
Thursday after school and returned
home on Saturday.
: Continued stormy weather last
week caused the cancellation of
many schools and school buses
giving "the students in this .district
three dayS holiday last week.

The Langsidie ° Whitechurch
Young Peoples held a skiing. party
on Saturday at the farm of Dan
Webster with' 'an attendance of
twenty three. After skiing at the '
farm lunch, was served. The skiers '
then went to the Falconer Ski. Trail
on the second of Culross fOr more
skiing. A good afternoon's fun was
reported. The Young Peoples held
their regular, meeting 'at White-
church on Sunday evening.

On January 8th, 1976 girls floor
hockey was held. In the first game
'the Tiger Cats defeated the Road •
Runners 5 - 1. Sandra Dawson
scored for the Road Runners •while
Kay Walden scored 'three times
and Lisa Collins twice.
In the 'second game the Killers
• beat the Wild Fires by a score of .2 -
1. Christie Messenger and Janice
Needham scored for the Killers .
while Leslie Baxter scored' for the
Wild Fires.
In the third game the Nudies met
the Stampeders. The score was 2 =
1 for the Nudies., Ruth' Shepherd
scored for the, Stampeders and
' Darlene Coiling and Sherry Cadotte
scored for the' Nudies.
On January '13, 1976, .the, first
game was The" Killeis playing the
Road ttimners. the Road .Runners
won 3-1.. ' Christie MesSenger
:scored for The Killers while Sandra,
Dawson 'scored once and Carole
Lotton scored twice. for the Road
Runners.
In the second game the Tiger
Cats'played the Stampeders to a 1 -
I tie. K'aye Walden' scored'foi the
Tiger Cats and , Angela Stewart
'scored for the Stainpedet.
In the third game the Nudies
played Wild fire. The Nudies won

The 1st/ Lucknow Brownie. Pack
opened their meeting on Tuesday t
January 13th with Sharon Struthers •
conducting a. game of ball '.'Sleepy
and Dopey''.
Mae Raynard was Fairy Queen
and, set up. the Toacfstool for
Brownie Ring. The Brownies"'
hopped° their Brownie Gold and
Brown Owl did inSpection to see if
all ties were tied in a reef knot.
Everyone 'then repeated the Brown-
ie Prayer.
• At Pow Wow the. Brownies sang'
Happy' Birthday to Vicky flackett,
and 'Sharon "Struthers. Donalda
Thompson showed a giraffe she
had 'made from vegetables and
Mae Raynard 'showed some inter-
esting pictures of Brownies she had
found. Everyone enjoyed sampling
the cookies 'Tracey McDonagh had
made while getting ready to try for
the Baker Badge.
Dining work' period Brown Owl
had some of the Golden 'Ladder
Brownies getting a parcel ready, for
the mail: Packie also had some of
'the Golden Ladder girls teaching
them Finger Spelling,. Tawny Owl
worked with the Golden Bar
Brownies as•they are trying to learn
the words 'of 0 'Canada and God
Save the Queen.
The • meeting closed with the
Squeeze and Taps.

times and Helen Kempton twice for'
the Nudies,. Kelly Fitzgei'ald and
Leslie Baxter scored for Wild Fire,
