Over four . hundred and fifty
people' attended the annual Brook-:
side School Christmas concert on
Tuesday, January 6 at 8.15. The
program began with a vocal
number presented by the grade .7
and .8 girls' choir. The choir sang,
"We VVis. h You a Merry Christmas,
Rouse Ye Shepherd's, What Child is
This and Any Dream Will Do. The
girls are directed by Mr. , D.
Cameron, and the accompaniment
was; provided by Barb Cameron,
and Polly Pollett.
The grade 1 class entertained
next with a medley of farm songs.
A comic pliy "The Rest Room"
was preSented by room 5, grade 3.
Starring in this production were
Paul Hackett and. Cathy Snyder.
-Le Premier Noel' was reenacted
by the room 7, grade 7, cliss. Miss
Trezise, our French teacher, ,help-
ed with the .script.
The grade 8 boys showed their
athletic ability by :presenting a
gymnastics display. Included in
this performance was a humane
pyramid. k • .
RoOm 6, grades two and three,
presented "School Days'. The
class took us on. a tour through a
typical school day , with songs,
poems, recitation's and slides of
.their activities.
The Parade of the Months was
presented next by room '9 and 10,
grade 5. After each month had
passed, Father Time made his
appearance and hobbled 'over to
make the passing 'of time.
Although only certain classes are
mentioned above, the concert cpuld
not have been the success it was

The late .Mr. Farrier has always
taken a very active part in musical
activities in 'church and community,
He was on the various boards of the
Whitechurch United Church where
he was .a faithful .meinber.
The late Mr. Farrier has carried
on a successful piano and organ
sales service business in this
area for the past 30, years.
Surviving are his' wife, the
former Agnes Gillespie; a •son
Wayne of Giielph; a daughter,
Janis of Windsor; three grand.
daughters, two sisters and three
brothers, Winnifred and Carman of
Toronto, Olive of Sarnia, Russell of
Wingham, Cliffdrd of Kitchener.

He was a native of this area where
he resided ill his , life, having been

He moved to Whitechurch after his
marriage where he has since
resided.
