and District Hospital :on, Friday,,

of `Thomas and Jennie '(MacKenzie)
Inglis.
He was predeceased in 1937 by,
his first wife, the former Leta Mary
Isnot of •Nova Scotia, at the age of
26,
• On June 26, 1939, in Quebec
City', he.. married Mildred C,
• MaeNeil of Stellarton, Nova Scotia.
She passed away, in 1970.
He 'was also predeceased by his
father. in 1963, a' sister Mrs. 'John
(Christina) Sim in 1944 and a
brother Allan in 1930 at the age of
3. .
' Alex served 'with' the Hastings'
and Prince Edward Regiment of the .
Canadian Armed Forces from 1939
to 1943. He was a member of thp
LucknOw Legion, and affiliated with • the Whitechurch United Church.
For;some thirty years Alex was
employed as a salesman for-the
Fainily Herald. For the past fifteen
years N he had resided on ,Highway
86 some four miles east of
LucicnoW.
He is• survived by his Mother,
four :brothers and two sisters,
MacLaren .of,,Highgate, ThomaS at '
home, Roderiek0Earlton, John of
Victoria,, British' Columbia, Mrs.
Betty. Flanagan at home and Mrs.
,Robert (Pauline) Adams of Kiploss
Township. '
The funeral service was , held at '
-MacKenzie , Memorial , Chapel,
Lucknow On Sunday, December
21st. Rev. W. 'Brown of White-
'church United Church was minist-
er. A Canadian Legion service was
held on Saturday at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers were six riephews,
David, Tom, Brian and Douglas
Inglis,, John and David' Adanis.
Temporary entombment was at

A pleasant evening' was held, in
the ' Legion Lucknow 'on
December 20th,- • planned by 'the
•family of Mr.' and Mrs. Gerald
Rhody, honouring . Gerald and•
Merle on their twenty-fifth Wed-
ding - anniversary. The hall was'
beautifully decorated in silver and
white, and a three-tiered wedding
Cake graced the dining room table.
Dancing was to the Moran, Brothers
of Teeswater.

During the evening, Charlie
Murray addressed ,the happy
couple, and, on behalf of neigh-
bours and friends, a purse of
money , was presented by Jact
Scott, also a recliner chair, by Grant
Eckenswiller and Tranois Boyle.
Both Gerald and Merle replied in
appreciation, and lunch was serv-
