On SundaYpecember 21st the
Ambe'rley HUron7Sitowmobile, Club
held, a thriStmas Party at Reid's
Corners Hall for the •• younger.
members of the. Club.
A film was •shown and games
were played. Santa Claus arrived
with treats for all the, kiddies. The
party came to a : close with ice/
cream and pop being served and by
.the expressions.on the smiling, ice
cream-covered faces of the young-
sters, it was without a doubt a
Pretty exciting day indeed.
A run was alSo held on Friday,
December 26th. The menu for the
wening was hot soup.
We are all looking forward to
:mire runs and a good supply of
hat fluffy white stuff to start 'the'
iNew Year off right;
The Amberley-Huron Snowmei-
file Club welcomed in the New
Year with a New Year's Eve party
at ' Reid's Corners Hall and if good
cheer is, a sign for a good year of
snowinobiling then we can all look
forward to 4 happy 1976.
The party wouldn't have been

power the Lucknow Atoms, as they
squeaked out a 4-3 win on ,Monday
night in the local arena.
Ripley:took an early 2-0 lead in
the first period, Lucknow then
scored °three in a row ,to take the
lead. Ripley replied twice in the
third period, the winning goal, in
,.the laSt two minutes:.
George' Alton scored all the
Lucknow goals. Assists went to.
David Emberlin and Jamie- Bere.
On December. 29th,' the local
boys trimmed Teeswater 6-1 in a
game played in Lucknovv. George
Alton scored a hat trick, Paul
Pickard, two goals, and Wayne
Phillips, ' one, . Assists were
credited to' Duane Rivett two,
David. Emberlin• two; 'Jamie .Beret
and Lawrence Clark one each.
On Saturday, December 20th, in
the first , game the Rangers edged-
the Canadiens 2 to 1.. Morris liart
Osch and Michael Whitcroft dented
the twine for the Rangers while

opening game, the Black HaVirkS'
defeated the Rangers .5 to 3. Brian

McAlluni shared thescoring for the

Fleas played the ..Brookside girls-
with the girls winning, the game .3
to,1.: Alex West scored from Print .
Murray, Scoring for the girls were
Kay Morrison,, Michelle Cook and
Jinet MacDonald. -
' On. December '27 the, Fleas
played their parpnts in a fun-f led
game.' The boys came out on top
to 3 with .Robert Cayley and 'Alex
West each getting one and Grant

On Friday, January 2, Ripley
Tykes came oyer play to a 5-5 tie ,
with the Lucknow Fleas.' Goal .
scorers for Lueknow 'were Grant
Murray 2, Brian De Groote 2 and
Chris Irwin 1 with assists going to'
Todd Ritchie 1; Alex West '3 and
Chris Irwin 1. ,Donald Murray
played in goal. Steve Murray,
Steve ,Hamilton, John D. MacKen-

Lancers Make
Winning .Circle ..•
Since last, writing the Lancers,
the lOcal Intermediate hockey
team,, have finally made the
winning circle.
December 19, Lucknow
dropped a lopsided game to Port
Elgin 6-1 with the lone goal going
to Donald Mann.'.
--Oh- December 21, the Lancetp
made'a close game and led Clinton
for two periods, only to lose 4-3.
Jim Murray did the scoring with a
hat trick.
After/ a week's lay off over
Christmas, the Lancers could only.
muster one good period' of hockey
against Harriston' on' Sunday, ,
Deceniber 28 which they led 2-1.'
The last two periods was Harriston
all the way. Lucknow was 'penalty
plagued with' the game ending 9-3
for Harriston. Scoring went to Jim
Murray, ' Jim Farrish and John
Emberlin.
It ,took the New Year to untrack ,
the. Lancers. After battling' the
weather to Acton on Saturday,
January 2 the game started late.
Lucknowlitared, rough, tough and
Steady. At the- end of '2 periods
they trailed 4-3. Coach Fred,
Edwards shuffled the lines for the
balance sand the LanceO speedy
forwards started .to get around
Acton's slower defence: The last
period went all to Lucknow with the
cancers outscoring ,Acton Swords
4-0. Goalie O'Donahue played very
steady making many big saves, in
-the third period. The game ended .
7-4 for Lucknow with scoring going :
to John Emberlin 2, Jim Murray,
John MacKenzie, Graham Hamil-
ton, Wally Houston and Steven,
Hackett who joined the team 'for. his
first game after moving back to
town, Needless ,to, say, the whole
team was very happy for a very
rough bus trip home.. The stormy
weather made it very late trip
with 'a game scheduled for 'Sunday'
night against Paisley. This game
Was called off because the referees
couldn't brave the weather.

It's .Hoped that '•the ..win's' will,
continue ,...and bring out more of the
'great'. home town fans as the team'
can still. make the playoffs with a
big effort from here to the end' of'
