Congregational Meeting.-s•The an-
nual e•utigregatiotial meeting of J.

Tuesday last. the pastor, Rev. R. M.
Gale. presiding. Itepreseutatives of
all the different organizations In the
congregation gave their reports of the
Jeafa work. The scaslo11 report spoke
of the high spiritual pr(rlleges the con=
gr•gatiou ha,1 enjoyed during the ape -
vial services conducted by Dr. Crossley
and Mr. l.eonnrd, and 'also in the Sun-
day ua•ssages of Mr. Gale. There had
been an increase In membership of
seventeen during the year, making a
total of 142 on the communion roll. The
figures presented were necemarily
smaller Ilan usual. as the chute!' year
this tllue has been of only nine months'
duration. This Is due to a change be-
ing nude In the eburi•h year. which in
future is to run concurrently- with the
calendar year. while formerly the
United Church closed its hooks on
March 31st. Nbtwithstandiug the tart
that the year was only threequarters
of Its usual length, the financial re-
ports were most encouraging. The re-
port of the chur.-h treasurer was espe-
cially encouraging. Although the con-
gregation had begun the year in debt
and the minister's salary had been
raised during the year. the debt hid
been wiped off. the minister's salary
pai,i and all other obligations .met,
stnali balance. Almost all
officers of church and organizations
were re -appointed and the work oe the
congregation starter) on another year
under very favorable eiretunstances.
