took place in the East Chapel of
Timothy Eaton Memorial. Church,
Toronto Saturday, Septeinber 10.
Rev. Frank Cryderman offi-
ciated, when Barbara Elizabeth
Nevison, only' daughter of Mr.
and Mrs, Richard E. Nevison, of
Midland, was united in mar-
riage to Dr. Harvie Charles
Brooks, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.
Frank Brooke'. of Toronto, and
grandson of the late Mr,' and
Mrs. Charles MacAllister, for-
merle, of Hensall.
Given in marriage by .her fa.
ther, the bride wore a princess
gown of white silk organza and
lace over peau de sole. The
pearl and irridescent trim on the
long-sleeved lace bodice was re-
peated on. the long appliqued pa-
ids and stephanotis.
The matron of honour, Mrs.
Clarke. B. Davis, wore a sheath
frock of deep hyacinth blue, with
matching feather headpiece, and
cartied a crescent of tiny orch-
ids and dahlias in shades of
pink.
The best man was Dr, Adam
Wilkie and ushers were Dr.
James Falls. and Donald Nevi-
son, brother of the bride.
Following the wedding recep-
tion which was, held in the
church. reception room a family
dinner party was held at the
bridegroom's home, after which
Dr. and 'Mrs. Brooks , left by
plane for a two weeks vacation
in Bermuda.
They will reside in Toronto.
