FOR A SUCCESSFUL AIR SHOW
TO TM g PEOPLE OF rXETAR ANP (215TRXT
It is .a pleasure for me to invite the residents of
Exeter and surrounding district to the Centralia Clinton
Air Force Day at RCAF ,Station Centralia on Saturday,.
September 17.
I feel that it is our duty to keep Canadians in-
formed of the progress of their Air Force in maintaining
peace and freedom throughout the world. The commit
ments given to the Mr Force by the Canadian people
are: the defence Or the North American continent in
conjunction with the United States Air Force; the de-
fence of the North Atlantic :and European areas in con-
junction with our NATO allies; and the roles assigned
to us in fulfilling ,Canada's obligations to the United.
Nations Organization,.
At Centralia we have arranged as a memorial
event, a pictorial history display of the RCAF. There
will also be many 'displays illustrating the various sys-
tems and controlling agencies of your Air Force. There
will be many aircraft presently used in the training and
operation role of the RCAF. The flying program which
commences at MO p.m. is highlighted by an aerobatic
demonstration by the .Golden Hawks which I feel illus-
trates the dedication and skill required of the person-
nel of the RCAF.
I sincerely hope that you in Exeter and surround-
ing district will visit us commencing at 12430 p.m,,
September 17, to see your Air Force and Meet the men
and women who stand ready to serve you,.
Yours truly,
A. Lk ASHTON,
Wing Comander,
