Freudernan sent the kickoff deep into Goderich territory where Wingham soon took over and be- that country, and of her work as a gan to sound out the Goderich line doctor in a mental hospital. Here by a series of ground attacks. Neither team was able to make any progress, and the ball changed hands due to fumbles, pass inter- ceptiOns, and third dowa kicks so often it was cliffictilt to keep things straight. However Wingham did show a little'edge in play and pre- vented Goderieh from getting out of their own end all during the quarter. Hetherington put Wing- ham on the sebre sheet by sending a kick out of bounds in the and zone for one point. • In the second quarter, Wingham tightened up and under the lead- ership of quarterback Ivan Walsh drove to the twelve yard line. The first two downs netted only five yard's, Walsh elected to gamble and handed off to Hetherington who crashed through the left side for the first down, only by inches. With the pressure!off, Hethering- ton again took a° hand off and with the help of lineman Ritchie crossed the goal line from one yard out. Wingham's old trouble of kick- ing converts plagued them again and the ball went far 'wide Of the posts, Shortly after, 'Hetherington sent a hiek deep in the end zone which couldn't be run out, adding one more point to the total. In the third quarter Wingham took control of the play "and trap ped a Goderieh' bail. Carrier in the end zone for an additional two points, A completed Wiragharn, 'pass went for tvverIty-five yards, and Set the 'Mustangs in a dangerous positilm on the Gbderich four yard line, From there Hodgkinson dis- played his running ability and Scored Winetana'S final tally, In an -effort to aehleVe a convert St Mr, atharines visited the latter's and Mrs. John Wallace of Wingham attempted' a pass, but, it sistet, , C Was 06 'lime' for left end Na- Mrs, Hbrton and Mr, HOrton at' the week-end, Harry Elliott, librarian, and Mrs, Bert GarniSs, Mrs. Jahret johnsten and MISS Ruby Duff, Members of the threvale Library Beard, were in Stratfbrd en Satur- day to Choose children's books for the, public library, Mr. „and Mrs, Jack McMinn, try San and Randy of Toronto and Mr, and Mrs. Wilmer Watkins and o n DEBENTURES and GUARANTEED' TRUST CERTIFICATES: BujEVALE ALL NEW FOR FALL! 1,sinith to handle. Late in' the last quarter Wing- ham showed signs of blanking the 'Goderich twelve, when a kick re- ceiver lateralled to his comrade who went fifty yards past the' Wingham tacklers to score Gode- rich's only points and the last ,poind of the game. Thus it ended Wirigharn 16, Goderich 6. Since Wingham and Goderich are the .only two "A" teams in the local' group, in reality, Goderich is our team to defeat, However be- cause the two teams were tied by virtue of points for" winning games, the winner will be decided by the total scored points in the two games with each other, Thus Wingham goes into next Tuesday's game 'it Goderich with a lead of 10 points for the group "A" title. -by Tom Brydges, XIII 0 - 0 - 0 The. MagaZine Drive Once again the school has under- taken the magazine drive. This has been a project of the schools for a number of years now. This year the school is divided into two teams, the purple team and the white team. Each team consists of eighteen classes, This year there are an umber of worth-while prizes offered for the students selling the most maga- zines; Some of the prizes' are brownie movie camera, a set of McBrine luggage, a panda bear and others. Besides this, each day a prize is offered to the top boy and girl Salesman. Some of those prizes in- clude a white poodle, silver dollars and pen and pencil seta. This Year the students are really working to help the school out in this project. The sales to date are far above last year's, From the profits Of this drive the School hopes to be able to purchase an electric Ohio eloeleand score board. We know, with this purchase in mind, the students will work even harder, to bring the magazine sales to an all tithe high. -by Mary Lou Dunlop XTIZ Your grain is good feed but, • it lacks sufficient protein, minerals and vitamins for top milk production.
