guest speaker was Rev. R. Ken-
nedy, minister of Dungannon Un-

very fine sermons.

Promised", in the morning, and the
anthem "Dear Spirit Lead Me"

Diary of Howick Legion held a
rummage sale and afternoon tea

A fair crowd attended.

for California,. where he will spend

Hi C Group Meets
At Parsonage
FORDWICS—The Hi C group of
the Fordwich United Church met
at the parsonage on Sunday night
with 23 in attendance. The meet-
ing opened with a sing-song.
Mrs, A. Gardiner led in the wor-
ship service, An interesting dis-
cussion was held on Protestant re-
ligion vs, Roman Catholic. Many
interesting points were brought up.

the regular meeting at the home
of Mary Johnston when 26 .mem-
hers answered the roll call. The
meeting opened with the •national
anthem, Lord's prayer and purpose
and answer. "

Carswell had , charge of the wor-
ship service. The business 'was
discussed and it was decided to
entertain Wingham and Corric
C.G.I.T, groups on November 4th
for a Hallowe'en party.
Ruth Hibberd taught the group
few Japanese numbers. Mrs. C.
Carswell presented the girls some
interesting Jacts about the educa-
tion of Japanese people and Mrs.
H. Pollock showed a few of the
points of interest on a map of Ja-
pan.
