ation of the Gorrie United. Church'
on Thursday evening, The meet-
ing opened .with quiet music with
Mrs. H. Hyndman at the piano.
The `scripture, Psalm 100:111 were
read responsively, Mrs. E. Whit-
field bad charge of the worship
period. with the theme being
"'Thanksgiving" and told of the
first thanksgiving. A poem "A
Woman Counts her Blessings", was
read.
A Paper prepared, by Mrs, Elmer
Farrish on Thanksgiving was giv-
en by Mrs. Whitfield, She said
that as we watched TV when the
Queen' was in Canada, were we
thinking only of the. pomp and
glory or Were We truly thankful of

free world.
