Died on. Tuesday
WHITECHUROH-Mrs. Jas. Ir-
win, formerly Etta'Laurine Woods,
daughter of the late Mr. and :Mrs.
Wm, Woods of West Wawanosh,
passed away•on Tuesday last, after
a long illness at the Lucknow Pri-
vate Hospital and the 'Kincardine
Hospital,
Besides her husband, who is also
a patient at the Private Hospital
she leaves to mourn two sons and
two daughters, also two • brothers,
Elmer and :Arnold Woods, of W.
Wawanosh and one sister,` Mrs.
Dick Martin (Emma) of Huron
Township. Interment was in Green-
hill Cemetery .on Friday. Woods,
Barbour, McClenaghan and Martin
families from this district also Mr.
and Mrs. Bert Thacker of Barrie
attended the funeral.

project, "Working with Wool", with
Mrs. Carl Johnston as assistant.

supper will be served. A debate
will follow.
Mrs, Glenn Johnston, of Ford-
wich was a guest and gave
a brief address. . •
Miss Emma Johnston spoke on
"Why 'Young People Stay on the
Farm," Mrs, James Johnston gave
the motto, "They also serve who
feed the world".
Of interest to all the members
was a demonstration of the mak-
ing of an aluminum tray by Mrs.
Jos, Horton. When finished the
tray was auctioned by W. J. Pea-
;cock.

solo.. A. feature of the meeting,
was a penny auction, which ,add-
led to the treasury.
Refreshments were sereed by the
hostess and the committee, Mrs.

Thompson • of London, formerly of
Wingham, described mission work
in Trinidad, from which country
she and her husband have return-
ed.
At noon a dinner was served to
