Mrs. Roy Sanderson celebrate& their fortieth, ,wedding anniversary on Thursday at their home, Lot 56 and 57, Con, 1 Turnberry,'where a dinner was served' to about 30 guests. The bride Of 4.0 years ago, is 'the former Margaret 'Ash, daughter' of George. and Mary. Jane Ash, R.R. Listowel, Mr, and Mrs. Sanderson were married in the manse of the Anglican Church, Listowel, • on October 3rd; 1917. Following their Marriage they moved • to their 'present home en Con, 1 Turnberry. 'In June 1918 Mr. Sanderson entered the Service and went over- sbas in September of the same year. The day he was to sail for France the Armistice- was signed so he remained 'in England until the fol- lowing January. They have a family of Six, (Margaret) Mrs. Allan Edgar; (Hazel) Mrs. Howard Ryan, who reside on, Highway 86; Ruby,Gor- don and William, at home, ,and, Cecil, also onjfighway 86, , They ilSo, have six irandchildren, Wit- Hain, Margaret Ann and Chester Edgar, Jean, Shirley and Patricia Sanderson. - Guests were present from Lis- towel, Molesworth and Eluevale. WROXETER Mr. and Mrs. Crawford ,Gibson and family spent a week's vacation in New York: Atrs!•G: A. Gibson spest part of last week with M. and Mrs. Garry Gipson and 'family in Wingham. Mr, and Mrs; Ross'Coates visit- ed the latter's aunt, Mrs, R,usSell Arnett of Ethel on Sunday. Mr, Henry Mothers and sisters had as their guests on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Heasli,p and their° son, George and Mrs. Heaslip• and son, Silly of Princeton, and. Mr., and Mrs, J. P. Heaslip and daughter Marian, of Hamilton, They were also entertained at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Chas. Mathers. The Women's Institute will meet at the home of Mrs. W, J, Peacock on Thursday evening; October 10th. Mrs, Alex Corrigan is convdner and the theme, "Agriculture". Miss Emilia Johnston will give the topic, "Why Young People Stay on the Farm". "They Also 'Serve Who Feed the World" will be given by Mrs, James. Johnston. Mrs. Jos. Horton will give a demonstration. ytev. Mr. McClure, of Molesworth, moderator of Presbytery, preached in the Presbyterian Church on Sun- day and conducted, a baptismal service.
