Lucknow Presbyterian ' Church
was the scene of a pretty wedding
On Saturday, 28th September, when
Miss Jean Stanley, daughter of Mr,
and Mrs. William Stanley of, Luck-
now, and Mr. John Gershom Johns-
ton, the aon of Mr, and Mrs, Ger-
shorn Johnston, Whitechureh, were
united in marriage, The R'ev. Wal-
lace McClean, of. Lucknow, offici-
ated.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
dress of white nylon figuredjace
with three-quarter length •veil, She'
carried 4 white Bible which Was
deeorated with red rosettes, white
streamers and netting.
Attending the' bride were her
three sisters, Mrs, Jack. Anderson;
of London, who was matron of
honor, with Miss Mabel Stanley,;
London, and Miss Marlene Stale
,ley, of Luchnow, as bridesmaids.
Groomsmen were, Kenneth Holmes,
of London; Ray Stanley, St. Thom-
as; and Bob Burehill of NVingham.
The matron of honor wore a
dress of mauve velvet, the brides-
maids, dresses of brown and tur-
quoise, All had white accessories.
The organist was Gordon Ross,
of Toronto, an the soloist was
Mrs. Ray Stanley, of St. Thomas,
The wedding reception was held
in the Presbyterian Church hall,
Lucknow. Guests attended from
London, Kitchener, St. Thomas,
Ciintob,Toronto, Sarnia; Churchill
and Ripley,
When the couple left for their
honeymoon, which is being spent
at. Niagara Falls and the United
States, Mrs.. Johnston was wearing
a hrown tweed wool suit, brown
and gold accessories and a corsage
of yellow rosee.

Extend Control
In an effort to brake the 'present
downward trend in hog prices, the
Ontario Hog Producers Co-oper-
ative is speeding up its hog di-
rectional program, Charles McIn-
nis; president of the Co-operative
announced on Friday.
,Mr. McInnis said that at a
meeting of the directors of the Hog
Marketing Board and the Co-oper-
ative held laSt week, new orders
have been passed extending the
hog directional program into five
Inore counties, bringing the total
number of counties under orders
to twelve. e
The five new 'counties to be
brought under the directional pro-
gram are Wentworth, Lamnbton,
Kent, Essex, and Elgin., The di-
