The statistical report for the
Month of Augilst was read by Mrs,
Morrey, in which it' was stated that
148 admissions were made during
that month,, bringing the total ad-

of births at the hospital in August

Brenswick on Monday evening en-
joyed one of the finest programs
they have seen in a long time,

Wingham until five years ago,
who has, since that time, visited
most of the countries in the Orient.
At the Lions meeting Charlie show-
ed colored• slides which covered a
trip from Singapore, in the Malay

versary on Sunday at the home of
their Son, Mr, Miller Davis and
Mrs, Davis, where a 'dinner was

The bride is the former Evelyn
Edna ,Miller, dadgliter of the late
Mr, and Mrs, Frank B, Miller of
Onondaga and the groom is the
Son of the lat6 Mr, and Mrs, Wil-
liam. Davis of Onondaga. They
were married• in Brantford on Sep-
they lived in . Toronto' for four
years and then moved to the Six
Nations Indian Reserve, Oshwelcen,
where he was the resident doctor
at the Lady Wellington Hospital
for 37 years. Since retiring, Dr.
and. Mrso Davis have lived in Wing-
ham.
They have a family of three,
`Mrs. W. A. (Vera), Elliott and Mil-
ler, of ,Wingham and. Mrs, J. T,
(Meurial) Bildfell, of Camp Bor-
den, and three grandchildren,
Guests were present from Tor-
onto, Brantford, Oshweken, Glan-
worth; Amherstburg and Wingham.
On Wednesday Mrs. Davis en-
tertained friends to a tea in the
afternoon, Mrs. Chas. Roberts
and Mrs. C, F. Johnson poured tea
with Mrs. W. H. Gurney and Mrs.

performed by the engineer. Those
included the Maintenance and re-
pair of, the *lei, room, refrigera-
tion units, hospital grounds and
the stand-by generator plant, 'The
chief engineer, Mr, Armitage said,

riculture has been making re-
markable progress in 4-H Club and
Junior Farmer and Junior„ Insti-
tute 'work. At Seaforth 'Fair the,

The Fedjation of Agriculture
feels that these juniOrS will soon
be' taking in, active part in farm
erganizations and producer groups.
As an incentive to this end the
Ontario Federation of Agriculture
is organizing a Prince and Princess
contest, This is not a beauty con-
test, but, rather a test of know-
ledge and leadership.
'Contestants must be from a Hur-
on County farm,.but may be work-
ing away from hem° and from 16 to
29 years of age, ihelusive.
As time is limited, contestants
arc asked to notify the secretary
of the Huron Ccainty Federation
of Agriculture, Box 310, Clinton,
not later than Oct. 5th. Material

county Federation office and the
county contest is being planned for
October 16th,
Contestants will be judged on. a
