Friends and neighbors of Mr,
and Mrs. Howard Martin of For-
dyce attended the funeral Of the
late Edward Joseph Martin on
Monday morning from Sacred
geart Church, Wingham to the
R, C, Cemetery. The family gather-
ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Martin on Monday after-
noon with their rather, Mr. Albert
'Martin, of Wingham, and the six
sisters, Mrs, Mersdorf and Mrs.
Stritzinger of Detroit, Mrs. Eileen
Morton, of South Bend, Indiana,
Mrs, Sidney Bowser, Mrs. George
Diddin and Mrs. Fred Haslam of
Toronto, with their husbands and
families and four brothers, Wilfred
of Stratford, Harold, of St, Cath-
arines, William of Kitchener with
their wives were all present. The
many friends of the bereaved
families extend sympathy.,
Mrs. James Ste. Marie, who was
seriously ill hi Kitchener Hospital
for a week, was able to return
home one day last week.
Mrs, Irene Paterson of Toronto
spent the week-end with her
mother, Mrs. Wm. Taylor, of Kin.

Mrs. Jas. Keen and Betty Ann
left on Thursday last for their
home at Sudbury.

quite poorly during the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Martin and
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Stewart of
Teeswater spent Sunday at' Lon-
don, where they visited with Mrs.
Emerson, Austin, who went through
an operation on her leg, which had
been injured some years ago. She
will be in a cast for three months.
Miss Marjorie Currie of London,
spent the week-end with her
mother, Mrs. R. Currie,
Miss Marilyn McTavish and
Miss Betty McDonald return this
week from Grand Bend, where they
have been employed at the River-
side Restaurant 'airing the holi-
days.
Arnold and Elmer Woods, Mrs.
McNeil and Crawford; of W. Wa-
wanosh, visited on Sunday with
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnston of
Kincardine, and with, their aunt,
Mrs. Jas. Irwin, at the Kincardine
Hospital, where she has. been a
patient for the past two weeks.
The W. Wawanosh school trus-
tees have had the walls and halls
in Fordyce re-decorated during the
past two weeks, This is quite ail

The Frank Kirkby farm drain-
age equipment moved, into this dis-
triet last Friday and commenced
