Among. the 97 present were the Rey, Angus Mac- Kay 'and MrseMaeleay, 'who recent- ly returned from jhansi, India, where they have lived, for many years,. They only manage a leave to this country about once ,every seven -years 'and the 'reunion was Planned to, cOincide with their visit thie• year. TWO GIFTED ARTISTS FOR ARMY RALLY What should 'prove to be one of the year's most important, musical events in the religious life of this community is planned tor the Week-end of 'Saturday - Sunday September 7 and 8 next. Two members of an organization known as the "Open Air Cam- paigners" are coming, to' Wingham, on those dates, to conduct Rally Day services at •the local corps of the Salvation Army. Doug Gibb, the first member 'of the team, was a high executive of the Ford Company pf Australia, before coming to Canada about a year ago, to, organize the work of the Open Air Campaigners in this country, He had formerly ,been professional member of a well- known group of 'harmonica play- ers, "deem tinder', and brings all' of his outstanding' musical prowess Into his Gospel work. Together with the other member of the team, he took Toronto children by Storm during „ the Billy Graham Creator Toronto Crusade, He is a powerful preacher, with a message for young and old alike—but he says, "I have a special place for the teenager-e-and all children". The fund whiCh will be 'known as the Bill McKibben Memorial 'Fund Bursary, is in memory of their ten year old son who died earlier this year. Sunday Concert Held in Park The first Sunday evening band concert to `be held for several years took place in the Wingham town. Park on Sunday night, when the members of the Wingham Lions Club Boys' and Girls' Band, under the direction of A, C, Robinson, of London, presented a one-and-a-half hour program Of music to a large and appreciative audience. It was the first time since its formation that' the band has performed on the bandstand. The program on Sunday evening opened with the playing' of "0 Canada" and ranged from stirring Marches to poptdar music.
