Hoffman, Mrs, M. NfcFarlane playing the ac- companiments. This was followed by community singing.' Bob Carbert, of CKNX, substitu- ting for Johnny Brent, gave in de- scriptive detail an account of his recent trip to 'Venezuela. He was one •of three men in charge of a large shipment of Ontario cattle to Venezuela. Venezuela, though governed by a dictator, is making remarkable progress. It is so rich in oil, which has been developed chiefly by Americans, that there are millions of money available to the government for building up the country. Six-lane roads, fine buildings, good hospitals and schools are some of the improve- ments in cities. The country people are still living in primitive .con- ditions but these are being chang- ed as rapidly as, possible. Mr. Car- bert is a fluent speaker with a fund of humor.
