Dies in Vancouver
GORRIE--Mr, Harvey Spading
has received word of the death in
Vancouver, B.C., of a former resi-
dent of Gorrie, Charles Lewis An-
drew, in his 85th year, He was a
son of the late Thomas Andrew,
who was a general merchant in
Gorrie for many years.
Surviving. are one son, Wilbur,
Vancouver, one daughter, Mrs.
Jean Bates, Seattle, Wash., one
brother in Sask., andsont sister in.
Ontario. '
He was a member of A.F, A.M.,
Indian Head, Sask.
Funeral se rvice, was, held 'in
Vancouver and interment was in
Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

L. F. Nethery Was
Wawanosh Native
Lancelot Frederick Nethery, son
of ,the • late William and Martha
Nethery,-of East Wawanosh Town-
ship, died in hospital. at Sault Ste.
Marie recently, Mr. 'Nethery, who
was boin in Wawanosh, was in his
83rd year, •
He is survived by his wife, the
former Mary McGuire, five sons
and three daughters, as Well as
one sister and three 'brothers.

'The death of a well-known reSis
dent of Belgrave, Clarence Harold
Wade, occurred suddenly on Sun-
day evening at his hemp. Mn, Wade
had been going about as usual, bat
was stricken by heart attack,
was in his 61st year,
A son of Mrs. Wm, Wade and
the late Mr, Wade, he was born.
Fordwich and attended school
there. For many yeara he operated
a general store at Belgrave, sells
ing out to Harold Walsh. Recently
Mr. and Mrs. Wade purchased a
children's .clothing store Wing,
Vliet, with Rev. 'Andrew Lane
officiating. The bride is the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs, Harold R.
Thomas, of Brussels, and the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jan van Vliet, of R.R. No, 3, Wal-
toe, Ontario.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father, .wore a floor-length
princess dress of nylon tricot chif-
fon with a shirred bodice, short
sleeves and a chapel train of
shirred tricot. chiffon. She wore
long matching gloves and her
shoulder-length veil fell from a
hgaddress of nylon net studded
with sequins. She carried a cascade
bouquet of red roses and white
baby mums.
Miss Joan Thomas of Kitchener,
sister of the bride, was maid of
honor. The bridesmaids were Jen-
ny van. Vliet of Stratford and Mar-
garet Conley of Ethel. The flower
girl was Colleen Durst of Walker-
ton, All wore Identical dresses of
crystallette with shirred bodices
and big bows at the back' in tur-
quoise and yellow respectively.
They carried yellow and turquoise
nosegays.
Miss Isobel Dennis was, organist
and Donald McDonald, soloist, sang
"The Lord's Prayer", Walk
Beside You", and "Because".
Mn, Clarence McCuteheon of
R.R. 4 Brussels was groomsman
and the ushers were Charles Tho-
nias and Charles Turnbull.
For the reception, which was
held in the church parlors, Mrs.
Thomas received wearing a soldier
blue crepe dress trimmed with lace
and a corsage of pink roses. She
was assisted by the groom's mo-
ther, who wore a grey two-piece
dress with' black and white acces-
sories and a 'corsage of pink rose's.
For their wedding trip to
Southern Ontario and the United
States the 'bride wore a bronze
figured silk dress, beige duster
coat, beige accessories and a yel-
low baby mum corsage, On their
return they will reside at RR. 2
