met of Toronto.„ All except Ernest

Mr. and •Mrs. King were reeipi-
ents of many cards, 'and gifts in-
cluding :plants. They both enjoy
fairly good .,health; and -reside in
their own borne: Mrs, King 'does
her own housework and •made the
wedding eake. They, farmed in
Howick :befOre retiring to Gorrie.
Mr. King was 91. on, December 23,
and 'Mrs. King is ten years. Young-
er. She was the former' Rachel
Clegg, Bath. were 'both in Howlett.
They ate members' of St. Stephen's
Anglican Church and have been re-
gular attendants,

and St. Paul's, Wingham, Ar-

On Friday evening members of
the Wingham Branch of the Cana-
dian Legion and Ladies' Auxiliary
carried out a door-to-door canvass
of ,Wingham homes their annual
Red Cross, drive, 'which this year
took the form of a one night blitz:
Members inet at the Legion
home- at 7 o'clock in the evening
and carried Out their 'blitz until
shortly after 10 p.m.
'Unfortunately, dile to a"' poor
turn-out of canvassers the blitz
was not completed and it is expect-
ed that further collections will be
made during this week.
