I 'bate statistics. ••
..I like the figures that catch my eye, but I can't keep figures
in my head. We get all kinds of mail chock full of statistics
from people trying to sell us things. You know the kind — they
always begin:. Eo ;Yon Know That . . .
I...was talking ahout this the other day with a loeal. man and
And he "told me very seriously "Do you know that if all the cars

YES, DEFINITELY!
"Does' local. option no-license de • -
crease local .drinking?"
Yes; definitely! On the evidence
of .many surveys it has been proved
that the volume of drinking in any

to local sentiment in regard to
alcoholic beverages. Our authority
is Dr. E. M. Lellinik of the World

seems that most "of us don't want
to abolish the problem of alcohol-

At this stage ,of .our history -most
people are, reluctant to look, at the

Why 'have we- en Huron County,
by far. .the levVest incidence of al-

fact that for many, years we have
had the Canada Teraperanbe Act!
This amounts to county wide pro-
