made their home debut with a 'win
over the Listowel Midgets 6.4 on
Friday might. Rae Hetherington
paced. the Wingham club with four
goals and one assist.
At the end' of the ,first period
Listowel were leading the Lions
2-1 Rae Hetherington` second for
Wingham with W. Newbigging and
T, Dey scoring for Listowel.
In the second period Rae Heth-
erington went .on a scoring spree,
potting three goals in three min-
utes. Doug Lockridge and Dude
Hughes scored the other Wingham
goal.
.Listowel scored two goals in the
third period • and held: Winghaln
scoreless, N. Eckel .and W. New-

TAKE FIRST CAME
The Wingham Spitfire Juniors,
won their first game of the year

Intermediates .8.4, Telford Struth-
ers paced the 'Spitfires with three
goals on Thursday night in,Wing-
harp arena.
2n the first period the score was
tied 1-1. Ron Graham scored for
the "Spits" while LeRoy Parker
got through for Mt.. Forest. In the
second period the Spitfires went
on a scoring spree, with Barry
Fryfogle opening the rush. Telford
Struthers marked up two goals and
Don Lee and Jim .Bain followed.
with single counters: Jim Bain
opened the third period for Wing-
ham, scoring his goal of the garne
and Tel Struthers potted his.third.
