program Santa Claus arrived in a
very jovial mood and, listened to
the small boys and girls tell, him
what they wanted for Christmar.
Each boy and girt received a bag
of candy and an orange, • •
. Instead of receiving presents the
bars and girls brought '"white
gifts" which were 'placed under the
Christmas tree. On Monday mor-
ning these were sent to the Child-
ren's Aid Society for the county
of. Huron, to be distributed •among
the less fortunate boys and girls of
the county. .
Next Sunday, instead of the re-
gular Church *hog period, the
boys and girls will meet in the
nave. of the church for their
Christmas Service. At this sacred,
service the boys and girla will pre-
sent their Advent Boxes. This of-
fering will be used by the Diocesan
Board of Religious Education for
Sunday *School work* among the
boys and. girls through Sunday
School of the Air and 'Sunday
School by Post, as Well as .supply-
ing st bursary for a young , an
training for the; ministry' at Hur-

enjoy the various recitations, solos,
duets, choruses arid inatrumentals
presented. '
The members of the SundaY
Sehool donated "white gifts" for
shipment so that a merrier Christ-
mas might be enjoyed bY those less
fortunate. '
The appearance of Santa Claus

The evening was chaired by J.
Fred Edwards, of Palmerston, who
welcomed the guests and proposed

to Mocha Temple was proposed by
the past president, Dr, Fraser
Hay, of Listowel, representative
to the Imperial Council. This was

Big Crowd For
School Concert
ST. HELENS—There was a large
crowd at the hall on Friday night
for the school' concert. presented
by the pupils of St, Helens school
with their teacher, Mr. Don Cam-
eron, -,with Mrs. Rodgers as musical
director. Rev. B. P. Green was
chairman for the splendid program
that included choruses, recitations
by Raymond \ Heffernan, 'Albert
Heffernan, a solo' by Gladys Mc-
Donald, duet by Delores Heffer-
nan and Beth Cooper, a trio by the
Smith girls, a hoop drill by., the
girls and a tramp drill by the boys,
plays, "Brave Boys", "Going
Somewhere" 'and "The Concert
Rehearsal."
After luneh dancing was enjoyed
te• music by the Wraith orchestra•
with Doh Murray as caller off,

olize the universal kinship of
those who bare received a measure
of this Light, These represented
