OF MANY THINGS
By Ambrose Hill's
have been partiellrating in a
free health' service and I fee]
pretty good,
It works this way, You pay no
premiums and there are no truxe?
deducted froin your pay cheque.
The only requirement. is a willing-
ness to 'do a few 'things for your-
self. 'Here's how I gelped my mem-
bership, in the free service u1int9.
'1 top k a seven -d& Indiday and
des,ot,eti it tu health. 1 went to
bed early, roSe early, limited MY
coffee and cigarette intake, drank
plenty of good, fresh water, ate.
moderately, Swam a great' deal,
sat In the sun, laughed, walked and
worried bot et all. •
• Reaults? Well, my Stomach' flat-
tened mit and the muSeles feel
firm. I've a, niee tan, which makes
me look healthier SQ I get a lift
when I look in the -imiricir in tie
morning. The daily walk improved
my wind; the swimming relaxed
me; the sun provided vitamins; the
laughter and fun was a ionic. At
night I .am pleasantly tired and
sleep soundly,
Water, sun, exercise.; good spirits
diligently cUltivated, deeent 'food
and moderation can de more for
you in a week than doctors, fel-
all their skill, can do 'in a menth.
Now I'in trying to convince my-
self that I need not take a holiday
to get healthy. There is no 'rea-
son ,why I should smoke too 'much,
or slug coffee into me, or over;
eat any thne of the year. Sunshine
is nearly 'always available and ex-
ercise can be fun if approached in
the 'proper spirit. ' •
About nine out of ten folks
judging from my friends, devote
virtually no thought or effort to
their health. Indeed, they Spend
Money on just about everything
but health . . and then grouse
when sickness catches -up with
them. Et seems to me that govern-
ment health schernes
work out *until we, have 'a few
more people vOith personal health
plans. .'
•How're you feeling? What , are
you doing t 'make youraelf feel'
.better? Try walking more, breath-
ing deeply, eating slewly and get -
tint out in the spn whenever you
can. My 'bet is `that within two
weeks you can have a new sparkle
in ,your eye. Try It and see:

"Exposure to traffic • hazards to

These include getting the child

Iftstory's Greatest Used Car Baroain!
In a New York junkyard of old cars not so long ago, a man
with a sharp eye for antique aatos found a delapidated hulk that
•appeared to be of Duropean vintage. •
He paid the unsuspectin,,0' junk dealer $850 for it -- and thereby
got the world's rarest and most valuable classic car. It was a
Bugetti Royale, made around 1927 by •a, strange fendal sort of
auto maker in french Alsace-Lorraine. Every piece of the intri• -
cate, 189 -mile -an -hour beauty was hand made and to,. antiato,
car collectors the 8350 junk was priceleks. It is to car collector!,
what a rare stainp is to etamp cdleetors,
Originally the car cost $40,000 --- for the
engine and chassig, and King Alphonso of Spain,
its Original owner, paid extra for the coachwork.
This car, in the language of ear dealers, was
"clunker." Most dealers run across clunkers
• 'now and then although few ever have the thrill,
or the misfor ne, ,to acquire a 'hidden gem like
the Bragatti Royale. •
