Forum Discusses
Farm_ Efficiency
VuurrEcTruacH—Farm • Forum
met On Monday evening at the
home of Mr, and Mrs, John
Gee Adtb„. 21 present, After the
broadeast, two groups held inter-
esting discussions. All felt, there
was a need for increased efficiency -
in Canadian agriculture, and also
a need fel. better marketing valueS.
•Considering that farm Workers
have been leaving the farm at the
rate .of 1,000, a -month since 1946,
the Forum consideredthat farms
were too small in many districts
to warrant expenditure in more
efficient machinery. Many farni-
ers in this district live on the
farm, arid are employed- in neigh-
houring towns, Mrs, Ernest' Bee-
croft and Jas. Falconer held high
points in euebre. The forum
agreed, to withdraw the next meet-'"
ing, in favor of the Fordyce School
concert in the lylemorial Hall.
Planswere made to • have the
forum presented at the •County
'Forum Banquet in Londesboro this
Thursday evening. Lunch was
served and the next meeting will'
be held' at the home of *r, and
Mrs. Myles $t. Marie.
