the. First Wingharri. 'Boy Occult
Troop .a new,game was tried on the
Scouts. It Was led by P.L. Bill
Crawford; All the boys 'formed a
circle, except for a few who were
left in the centre, The boys in the
Circle were on one leg only and in
that position tried to dodges the
ball that was thrown a them. The

girls were present at this meeting,
which opened by repeating the 4-H
pledge.

secretary, Ruth Fitch; press re-
porter, Shirley Simmons.
The leaders advised the girls on
what material would be suitable
for pyjamas; which they will be
making in this unit. Lunch was

SCIENTIFIC STUDY
UNFOLDS AMAZING
MYSTERIES OF SUN
The fascinating mysteries of the
sun and hew theyare being splved.
for the benefit of all mankind will
be spotlighted on a novel telecast,
"Our Mr• Sun", which will be seen
On Ohanitel 8 on Monday, Novena,
ber 19, at 10 p.m. The production
will be sponsored by the Trans,
Canada Telephone System during
the hour relinquished by "Studio
One"
"Our Mr. Sun", a new concept in
television entertainment, provides
a thorough, and at times amusing,
picture of soierntific studies con-,
ceriled with the sun, including
highlights on solar astronomy, 'so-
lar physics, the uses of solar en-
ergy and biological dependence on
the sun, Live action is interwoven
With both factual, and cartoon ani-
mation, : and with filmed scenes
from all over the world. The pur-
pose- is to depict how the sun af-
fects all life on earth.
Eddie Albert, stage and screen
star, and Dr, Frank C. Baxter,
probably the best-known professor
on television, will share top billing
in the program, produced by Frank
Capra, winner of three Academy
Awards. Capra was, selected as
producer because of his interest in
science and his special abilities in
the field of informational films.
Animated cartoon have been ex-
ecuted by TJPA Pictures, Inc,,.
which won Academy Awards for
"Gerard McBoing -$ging" a n d
"When Magoo Flew".
Thomas W. Eadie,', chairman of
the Trans -Canada "Telephone Sys-
tem, will introduce the show and
explain the interest' of the Cana-
dian telephone industry in the pro -
grain, •
Two more programs, appearing
at approximately three-month in-
tervals, are scheduled for the first
half of next year. They will be
built around the topics of blood.
