Dies at London
Mrs. Walter Ruggeri, a former
• resident, of Brussels, passed away
• at St. •Joseph's. •Hospital, London,
on Saturday.
• The former Rebecca Wright, she
was born at Molesworth 84 years
ago, she and her husband, a former
railway employee, had lived at
Fort William and in British Col-
umbia prior to their retirement to
Brussels. Mr. Huggan died three
years ago and since that time Mrs,
Huggan has been a resident of
Tweedbmuir Hall, at London, .
•Surviving are two sisters, Mrs.
Wesley (Bertha) Jermyn, of Brus-
sels and Mrs. William •(Lizzie)
Marshall of Stratford. She• was
predeceased by one sister,. Mrs:
Melville (Kate) Willits of Turn -
berry and •one brother, Williern
Wright of Brussels.
Funeral service was held at the
Brussels United Church at two
o'clock on Monday afternoon with
Rev. A, Lane officiating Interment
was in Brtissels Cemetery. Pall-
bearers were • Jack and Walter
Willits, Harry Wright, Mel Jermyn,
Alex lVfarshell and George Tervit.
Isaac Stokes
The community was saddened
when it learned on Friday, Nov-
ember 2nd„ that isaae Stokes had
ilassed away in his 77th year at
the Wingham General Hospital
after a lengthy illness.
• Mr. Stake e was a well-lcnown
resident of Turnberry, having lived
his entire life on the homestead.
He was the son of Thomas Stokes
and Margaret Query. He was unit-
ed in marriage to Mazy Lane on
December 21st, 1910: •
Those who are left to mourn his
passing are his wife, one son,
Thorne; of Turnberry; three
daughters, (Margaret) Mrs. Carl
Nickel of Howiek Township; (Mil-
dred) Mrs. Mitchell Elliott of
Parkhill; and Edithe at home, also
Seven •grandchildren, He •is •also
surviVed by two sistera and three
brothers: Mrs, Margaret Ballagh,
of Teeswater; Mrs. James Austin,
and „Tames Stokes, of Howiek Oli-
ver and Omar, of Turnberry. He
vvas predeceased' by a ;brother,
Reuben,. and three Sisters, (Fanny)
Mrs. Thomas Appleby;• Hannah'

He Was a respected member of
the Presbyterian Church at Ed-
more.

Mrs. Margaret Reny, 97, Eariff;
died in a Calgary nursing home en
Thursday.
Born in Barrie, On., she went
to Banff in 1611 and was Married
there in 1914. • The same year she
left' for Swift Carreat returning
to Banff in 1920. She was a :mem-
ber • of the Order of the Eastern
Star, 'ODE; past President of the
Ladies' Curling Club, Banff,
Mrs, Kelly, was the donor of the
Green Cup in the Ladies' Curling
Club, to help promote new curlers
for the club.
She is survived' by her husband
Thomas, a daughter, Mrs. Charles
Thorn, a son Wally, all of Banff,
brothers Dr. James A. Ke,. Cal-
gary, George and Ernest, Hugh-
enden, Dan, Shanty Bay, Ont., and
sisters, Mrs, James Spence, Barrie,
