IN MEMORIAM
NEWMAN—In loving memory of
a dear husband, father and
grandfathee, Frederick D. New-
man, who passed away two years
ago October 25th.
We little knew When we woke
that morn
The sorrow the day would bring,
For the call was sudden, the shock
severe
To part with one we loved sp dear.
Sometimes it's hard to understand
Why some things have to be
But in his wisdom. God has planned
Beyond our power to see.
God gave iu strength to fight it,
And courage to bear the blow
But what it meant to lose him
No one will ever know.
Sadly missed and ever reniember-
ed by his wife, children and
grandchildren. 24*

IT'S TRADING TIME
I doubt, I honestly and sincerely doubt, if it's true that
local gal we'll call 'Mrs. Helen Smith' drove•into a service station
one .day` and told the mechanic: "I think -you'd better lopk at the
depreciation; my husband says it's the • most important thing.
about a car." I sincerely doubt it, even. if another person who
shall remain nameless (except that he is her husband) swears
that it's true. •
- Iris true,'hoWever, that 'depreciation is an 'invisible rust that
is eating away at the-- value of your ear every day. -We part of
the cost of running a car, and itrs there for the simple reason
that an older ear le worth less than a newer coin, • .
You can't wipe off depeeitttion, or hide it with -
paint — but there is a way to keep its cost
down to a hare minimum. The secret is to take
advantage of the fact that cars are typed accoecle,
ing to -theit style year. That style year, as
know, changes in the autumn .when the- new
e models come in,
You . don't have to be air auto expert, or
