the appropriate solo, "Teach Me
Thy Way, Oh Lord",
Mrs. Howson introduced ,the.
special speaker, Mrs, Glen Eagle,
of Clinton, who asked the question,
"liow much have you given in
thankfulness .to your Ohareh or
your .God?". She said that thanks-.
giving should find its answer in
throe ways, the giving of money,
'time and talent, Basing her
.thoughts on the story of the wo-
man who gave the two Mites;

is not what we give that• counts,

The annual convention' of the
North Section of Huron.l:'resbyter-
ial Woman's Missionary Society of
the United Church of Canada was
held in Brussels United Church on
Friday, October 5th, with the .vice-
president, -Mrs. M. ' Dennisf ' Blue-
vale presiding at both sessions. •
The opening worship, led.py Mrs.
MacNaughton and Mrs. Edgar of
the Wroxeter Auxiliary followed
the theme for the day, "God's
Changeless Word". Fourteen senior
organizations answered, ` the roll
' aa117 by' reporting same of .the most
interesting and worthwhile pro-
jects of their year's work.

treasurer, reported only $9,136.00 of
$21,000 alocation raised to date.
The opening worship service for
the afternoon led by Mrs, R. A,
Brook and Mrs. J. Wickstead, Blue -
vale Auxiliary set the theme for
theguest speaker's address. Mrs,
H. J. Childs, London, challenged..
her listeners to Make •Thanksgiv-
ings a' thing not merely, of "words:
but' of actions, ,She urged W,M.S.
women to ptay, • work, study and
give'
as unto /God' that 'they may
care enough to share ' their food,
health, happy homes and know-
ledge of the Gospel story with
every needy person. "The world is
expecting a great deal• of us Chris-
tians." Later in i her president's
message Mrs. Wm, McVittie, Blyth
urged advance through consecrated
members. The convention grate-
fully accepted the invitation of the
Bluevale Auxiliary to be their
guests for next year's Convention.

The fall Thankoffering meeting
of the Goforth Evening Auxiliary
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church was held in the Sunday
School room on Tuesday evening
of •last. week.
The meeting Was opened with
the call to worship and the hymn
"Jessie Shall. Reign Where'er the
Sun" was sung. Mrs, W. A. Mc-
'gibbon led in prayer and the
Scripture was read by Mrs. N.
Welwood, Mrs, G. Leggatt then
lea In prayer followed by a solo,
by Mrs. Carl Douglas.
The 'hymn "Zion's King Shall
Reign Victorious" was sung. The
offering Was taken and offertory
prayer given by Mrs, 0, Lee, Mrs.
J, •l ay and Mrs. C. Douglas' then
favored the group with a, duet.

guest spealer, Mr: Angus MacKay,
formerly of WhItechureh, a mise
sionaty to India, Ile gave a very
