be drawn tip just as soon as it 'is
known who the. manager will be.
Transportation is to he arranged
through the Booster Club members,
suggestion was made that sea-
son'e tickets should be sold for the
games as soon as a regular ache-
dale could be drawn up. Prizee •for
yin ticket-sellers could be intro-
duced and it was felt that such a
neherne would stimulate, a -greater
,drive on the part hf the salesmen
and ensure- a greater number 'of

Mr. King, who was born in Hoev-
iek Township, was a lifelong resi-
dent of Gorrie. His wife died abOut
five years ago.
Mr..Watson was a Maine of Mor-
ris Township, having been born
there on January 25, 1902, the. son
of Milton S. Watson and Nicene
Stewart.
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Jennie Nagel, are five
brothers,. James, of Fetgus; Harry,
Kitehener; Keith, Fergus; Kenneth,
Port Dalhousie; Lyle, Gorrle„ and
one sister, Mrs. Robt. Mayes, White

Board announced Monday the re
awarding of the contract for the
construction of a four room addi-
tion to the school. Last Weclnes-
day the board accepted. the tender
of Norman Rintoul for this- work,
ben since then and before formal
signing of the contract, Mr. Rin-
toul advised the Board that for
reasons of health he had decided
not to undertake a project of this.
magnitude. As local citizens will
recall, Mr. Rintoul suffered recent-
ly from a coronary attack and
for this reason has found it neces-
sary to withdraw his tender.
The Board therefOre accepted the
tender of the second lowest bidder,
Wilfred G. White of Wingham, the
tender being for $68,053,30, The
construction work is expected to
commence as soon as Municipal'
Board. approval is obtained. This
would possibly be by mid-October
with completion scheduled for next
summer,
Balance of the estimated $80,000
cost will be required for furnish-
logs and equipment.
Winghani Scout Troop and Cub
Pack Won the Gowanlock Trophy
at the first annual one-day Jam-
bored held op Saturday at Chesley.
The Wingham boys chalked up a
total of 73 points, the Scouts gain-
ing 37 pointe and the Cubs collect-
ing 36, Kincardine boys came
Second with 67 points. The one-
day event was held in perfect

taking pert. They were all from
the Saugeen district.
Mayor Thomas Stevenson, of
Cheeky opened the Jamboree and
welcomed the boys to the town.
