fractured her left wrist when she

Marlene Stainton, daughter of

the summer camp at Goderich. She
was allowed home after her ankle
had been strapped. ,
Mrs. Elsie Scott, 72, of Lucknow,
received painful injuries when she
fell down the cellar steps zit her
home. Suffering from coneussion
and a sprained right hand, Mrs.
Scott was detained in hospital,
where her condition was described
as satisfactory. The accident! hap-
pened on Sunday.

of five days under canvas With the
boys taking notes every day, Un-
fortunately it rained feu'. days out
of five but It didn't stop the boys.
There Were 32 boys present from
such places as Gederich, Weilker-
ton, Centralia, etc. The leader of the
couree was Regional Commissioner
was a slight case of pneumonia
suffered by Paul Bennett who was
sent home arid received good care
in Winglia.m. General Hospital. The
boys wrote their test there but have
not yet reoeived the results,

Karen . Swanson, 14 -year-old
daugliter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Swansop, Wingham, was injured
at a , ball game on Wednesday
night and was taken. to Wingiliarn
General ' Hospital suffering from
Karen had received a head in-
jury early in the genie but eon-
tinued playing. Later she collapsed
eand had to be taken to th.e hos-
pital. Latest news is that her
condition is improving and that she
has returned home.

eniles .edged the ROstock Juveniles
5-2. The win gave the Wingham
Club the privilege to go into the
all -Ontario finals. Wingham and
Rostock will again meet in a best -
of -seven series for the WOAA
The dates will be set later. '

four hits and striking out six. Roe
did the pitching for Rostock, giv-
ing pp eleven hits and striking out
Wingham now meets Stoney
Creek for the all-Ontaeio champ-
ionship with the first game in
Stoney Creek on ,Wednesday, Sept-
ember 19th, and back in Wingharn
on Saturday, September 22.

J. R. Moore Dies
'In Michigan
John R. Moore, a native of
Kinloss Township, died at Mason,
Mich., on Monday Of this week in
' Mr. Moore went west in 1894 and
had • resided , in Ninth Dakota

to Ruby Barber, of Mason, Mich.,
who predeceased him. a short time
ago.
He is.survived by three sons and
two daughtOrs,• Stuart, Barbor and
Robert, Maud and Justine, all of
North Dakota. Theie are 22 grand-
children and one great grand-
child. Two brothers reside in this
district, Thomas at Whitechurch
and Arthur at R.R. 1 Luckno,w.
Interment was made at Lang-
don, North Dakota.
