Buried Monday
GORRIE—Mrs, L. Neilson, the
former • Letitia Anne Allison,
widow of the late Walter Neilson.
Scotland, passed away in • Wit
Wingham General Hespital on
Wednesday .evening, August 1st.
In poor health for some thin
death came suddenly following, a
stroke, which she suffered at her
home on Xuesday, and was then
taken to hospital,
Mrs. Neilson came here from
Scotland With her two young -sons
in 1923.. After residing at Gorrie
for a few years she went to live
in London, retinning in 1936, and
has lived hero for the Past 20
years.
She was a member of the 'Pres-
byterian Church and of the choir
for many years. She was born
in Scotland in, November 1891, be-
ing in her 69th. year.
Two sons, Captain John Neilson,
Shilo, Manitoba, and David Neil-
son Curie, survive, and there are
four grandchildren,
The funeral service was held at
the Edgar Funeral Rome 'on Mon- •
day afternoon at 2 p,m, with the
Rev. C. McCarrol, of London, in
charge. Interment, was In Listowel
cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dick Carson,
Sandy Edgar, Tom Douglas, Burns
SteWart, Win. Smith, Hartwell
Strong.
Flower bearors wore Ed Stewart,
Bob .Edgar, John Dinsmore, Nor-
man Harding, Stewart Strong and
Earl King,

Passes in Gorrie
GORRIE—Miss Barbara Wenzel,
of 'Cliesley, passed away early
Monday morning, July 30; at Mrs..

Gorrie. She was in her 94th year.
and was ill only a few .days.
She was born at .Listowel, . a
daughter of the late Mr, and' Mrs.
Nicholas Wenzel, Miss Wenzel
had lived at Chesley since 0890

Miss Wenzel was a meMber. of
Trinity 'Evangelical - Church,
Chesley and was the last member
of a family of six,
Funeral service was at the Emile
Funeral Home,- CheSley, at 2.30

the CheSley cemetery.

day from trick holiday at Rondeau

that Donald is much better.
