The Listowel Midgets squeezed in
three fast runs in the Listowel
park an Wednesday night to trim
the Wingham lads by a` two-run
margin, with the final count stand-
ing at 10-8.
The locals were right on their
toes when it came to batting, for
by the time the game ended they
had 20 left on bases. Love, of Lis-
towel sealed their fate when he
hammered out a triple with the
bases loaded. Wingham had led
the scoring race all through the
encounter and the score stood at
8-7 when the blow fell.

Don' McKay and his wife, VI,
arrived in Wingham last week, •
Don is to take over as, projection-
ist at the Lyceum Theatre. His
wife has returned to Cannington
to bring their two ohildren, 7-year.
old, Donna, and 5-year-old, Bobby,
to their new home in Winghatri,
Mr, and Mrs. McKay have been
farming in Cannington since `1946.`
Five years ago, Don was tricken
with polio and spent eight months
in hospital at Toronto, Undergo-,
ing treatment. Both his limbs are
paralized and he walks with the
aid of 'two canes.
'One of these days I hope to
throw one of the canes away,"
said Don, who has overcorhe Ma
handicap with great courage. Ile
began his training for his present
