TAKES BUS TRIP

BELGRAVE-The regular meet=
ing of. the Belgrave 7Wornen's In-
stitute was held on Tuesday, July
17, in the form of a bus tour,'
This meeting was convened by
Mrs. K. Wheeler and 32 members
left on the bus from Beigrave at
9 a.m., their first stop being the
County Home at Clinton, where the
following program was enjoyed by,
the folks at the Home.
MrS: Mel Bradhurn gave several
mouth .organ solos; vocal solos,
"Bless this House" and "Bonnie
Lassie" by Mrs. Clarence Wade,
accompanied by .Mrs, Lawrence •

had a sing song of several old time'
favourites; two readings, "Prairie
Heroine" and "Wits End" were giv-
en by Mrs. M. Mathers; two vocal

and "The Church in the Wildwood"
were given by Mrs. William Bry-
ages accompanied by Mrs, L. Van-
nan and two vocal solos "Gellway
Bay" and "I Would Be True" by
Miss Joyce Procter accompanied by
Mrs. L, Vannan, completed the pro-
gram.
The group then went on to Sea-
forth Where they enjoyed a picnic
lunch at the ,park.
Prom there'they made their way
to Prose= and toured through the
woollen mills, The final place to
visit was the Weston 'Bakeries at
Kitchener

his waist When he fell from A load.
Of hay on Thursday afternoon,
Mr, Simpson was, Injured When a
load of hay tiPped nVer ata it was
being hauled into his. barn by a
tractor. Ho was able to carry on •
until Saturday without summoning
medical assistance, ..at which time,
X-rays showed the fractured. bone.
A cast Was applied on Monday
and Mr. Simpson will be bosPital,
iced for some weeks.
PICNIC IS HELD

of the Sunday School members and
parent's of the United Church at-
tended the picnic at Poplar Grove
on Lake Huron on Saturday.
Karen Grositorth, Marjorie Cold-
tes, Beth Dowling, Jack Coultes and
Arthur Laidlaw ,had charge .of the
races and oonteata that kept every- •
one busy. The ball games were en,
Joyed by all, as was the picnic
