Scene Of Accident

tilda and Donna Hutchison met
with an accident on Zeeland' iyidge
lapt Friday night when they were
returning horrie from Wingham.
They were a car-length from the
'west end of the bridge when a
truck driven by Brie V1rnlden, of
'Ripley drove onto the bridge and
the two vehicles collided head-on,
They were fortunate in not being
seriously injured,`
Extensive damage was done to
the car and police investigated,

when Rev. George Watt, B,A„ B,D.,
of Dungannon , was the special
Minister, and Rev. R. A, Brook had
charge of his services at Dungan-
non, Nile and Port Albert,

large room,". speaking of the'great

the evening, his subject, "Dead or

Entertains Ladies
WHITECHURCH-Twenty wo-
men from the local Institute and•
four children attended a special
meeting in the recreation rooms on
Friday, when the Lucknow ladies
entertained. the St. Helens, Holy-
reed and Karishea Institutes,
Each Institute provided two
numbers on the fine program with
the president, Mrs. Cook, presiding,
Mrs. Ross Shiell, of Amberiey gave
a. splendid talk on the Munger in
the world for love, kindness and
aepreciation, had how cares, fertis
and worries subside and fly, when
our efforts are appreciated, A smile
can help young and old over a hard
place,.
• Many fine piano and vocal num-
bers were given. The Lucknow
ladies held a penny. auction and
served a delicious lunch, There . were 11 from Holyrood, 26 from
St. Helens and 22 from Karishea.
Over 125' were in attendance.

of Ada Muriel DOW, elder daughter
of Mr's, Eeciee Dew of E. Wawa-
nosh and the late Wellington Dow,
and Melvin, Ross Taylor, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Taylor of East
Wawarioeh, was solemnized on
Saturday, June 2, et 2,30 p.m, at the
home of the bride's mother, Mrs.
Dew, with his uncle, Rev, Win,
Taylor, of Dorchester officiating.
The attendants were, Mrs. Jasper
Snell, sister of the bride, and his
brother, Ta7ylor and little
Joyce` Hamilton, of Gorrie made a
pretty flower girl. His sister Mrs.
Edgar Dane of Howick played the
wedding music.
The wedding dinner was served
to about twenty guests, members of
the immediate families.

Sunday evening. Resides her mo-
ther, two sisters, Gwen and Mrs,
Ross Smith, (Dorothy) survive,
She was in her 21st year and had
been ill for some time. Mr, Shiell
and Mrs. Thompson returned to
London on Monday. ,
