Flight Sergeant Lacroix now
lives in "Married' Quarters" at Sta-
tion Clinton with his wife, the
former Rose Pantella of Saska-
toon, and, three children, Norman
14, Loraine 12 and Edward 10. The
children are students at the Air
Vice MarShall Hugh Campbell
School at Clinton.. -'

The presentation of a 'medal
which is becoming rare in the
Canadian services was, made at
RCAF, Station Clinton last week to
an airman who is now an instruc-
tor in the Guided Missile dv),art-
mein of the Radar* arfe,Coirimuni;•
cations School.
The medal, the Royal Canadidn.
Air Force Long Service. and Ocied
Conduct medal, was presented tO
Plight Sergeant N, H. ."Slim" La-
croix by Group Captain H. C. Ash=
down, Commanding Officer of Sta-
tion Clinton, before a massed par-
ade of all personnel on the station.
Presentations of this%xnecial .Vvill
become more and more rare as
time goes on. To be eligible for
the award an airman must have
served in the regular forces .before
the Second World War, must have'
completed eighteen years service
and must have been of exemplary
character and conduct during the
whole time,
Flight Sergeant Lacroix was born
in Saskatoon in 1918 and was edu-
cated at Prince Albert,' Saskat-
chewan. He joined the RCAF in

May Procession at
Sacred Heart Church
A most inspiring service took
place at Sacred Heart Church,
Wingham, Sunday evening, May 27,
when about 20 members of • the
Young Ladies' Sodality formed the
annual May procession, a publle•
a c t of homage • , accorded to
Heaven's Queen, in s'ong and
er. '
The Socialists were Preceded by
the little girla of the Fit* Coin-
mullion class with Mary Gail Chet=
tleburgh carrying the floral crown
on a white satin cushion. To. the
music of age-old melodies, ' the
girls' voices rose in prayerful
chorus as they wended their Way
along the aisles of the church, and.
when the words of "0 Mary We
Crown The% with 13lossorns Today"
resounded, the beautiful statue of
Mary Immaculate was crowned
with a garland of fresh flowers by
Miss Rita Gra,f, president of the
society.
The following candidates were
received into the Blessed • Virgin's
Sodality: Rita Graf, Barbara Spit-
zig and iViargaret Sweeney,
Rev, Dr, Mark J, Wildgen of St,
Peter's Seminary London, address-
ed the Socialists on "The Queen-
Ship of Mary", the Model of . the
Sodality, •
The touching eereinony of re-
ception was concluded with tte
solemn act of "Consecration to
Her", to whom the month of May
is dadieated; benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament folloWed,
Miss Sally Slosser presided at the
orgaa and accompanied the girle
choir,
