The Scripture lesson was taken by Mrs. George McGee and Mrs. Clarence Chamney, Mrs. Chamney led in prayer and Mrs, Galvin Robinson read a missionary poem, Mrs. Gilbert Beeeroft had charge of the topic, "The United Nations and the Christian Missions," dis- playing the flags of the different nations and pictures of views and events of the United Nations. The speaker pointed out how the Un- ited Nations is reaching out to help others to rise up and take their places, to be self-supporting and have a better economy in their lands. The meeting was closed with the benediction. This was the quarterly birthday tea meeting and cake and ice cream were served. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rotteau and their children, and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Buchanan and phildren, spent the week-end with their father, Mr. Albert Wal- ters in Culross. Their son, Wilfred Walters is also a patient in a'Lon- don Hospital, following an accident on Con, 2, Culross, on Monday. Mr, and Mrs. Donald Aitchison and family, of Harriston, visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Parsons, of Toronto visited on Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Mac Ross and other relatives in this district, Gordon Ross was in Hamilton on Thursday where he wrote his examination on telegraphy and was successful in passing. This week he spends t*o days at Sarnia, and then moves to Centralia. Miss Mary Ross of Toronto, was home for the week-end. Gordon Fisher, who has been stationed at Clarkson, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher.
