Arthur Laidlaw led in the Scripture
lessons and Muriel Moore told the

Brook spoke on "God in the Horne".
Two children, Calvin John, son
of Mr, and Mrs. Edward McClena-
ghan and Linda Mary, daughter of
Mr, and Mrs, Russell Purdon were
baptized.
Mr. G. B. Farrier sang "Mother's
Prayers Have Followed Me", and
the junior choir sang, "Children of
Jerusalem Sang the Praise of
Jesus' Name".
GRANDMOTHERS AND
MOTHERS PRESENTED
WHITECHURCH—There was a
splendid attendance at Brick Un-
ited Church on Sunday, when Rev,
C. Krug spoke on "Cod In the
Horne. At the special Sunday
School service the grandmothers
were presented with a white car-
nation and the mothers with a
white mum.
Mr. Krug said his grandfather
had established this custom long
before there was a • regular
"Mother's Day" and that his father
and he had taken pleasure in re-
membering grandmothers and
mothers in this way each year.
Pupils Raise Funds
For Bus Trip
WHITECHURCH—S.S. No. 9 and
S.S. No. 8 of Kinloss presented
their program on Friday evening
to a packed house in the Langside
Hall.
These schools have been making
an effort to raise money for a bus
trip. Tickets had been sold on a
blanket, for which $134 was taken
'in. When the draW was made the
lucky ticket holder was Tom Ribey
of Port Elgin.
After expenses were paid the
schools had over 0.00 loft to invest
In the trip.
