Richard G. Chamney
Dies in. Hospital.
, BELGRAVE-Richard Chamney,
Belgrave, died on Friday evening,
April 27th, about 6 p.m. in the
VVingham General Hospital where
he had undergone an operation in
the morning. Mr, Chamney, whe
was 73 years old, had been in poor
health the past year.
The son ,of the late Edward
Chamney and Rachael Marwood, he
was ,born in 1882 on the 9th conces-
sion of East Wawanosh. In 1908
he was married to Minnie Bruce,
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Alec Bruce of the 9th of East
Wawanosh and took up residence
on a farm at MarnoCh" on the 9th
line, about four miles West of Bel.:
'grave, until three years ago,' when
he sold his farm and retired to Bel-
grave. ,
'He was a member of the Bel-
grave Orange,, Lodge for 52'years,
iand of Knox 'United Chureh, Bel-
grave.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie,
one daughter Mrs. Alton (Shirley)
'Baynes, of Belton, 'one brother,
`Iohnrthree sisters, Mrs. j, (Becky)
:Rutledge, of Goderich; MrS. Henry
(Liia.) Leishman, Goderich; Mrs.
Jack (Mae)' Thompson, Auburn.
Four grandchildren also survive. A
son, Carl Bruce, predeeeased him ▪ number of years ago.
NI Funeral service was held on
1 Monday, April 130th, from the Bel-) ) grave United Church, with Rev,
III Charles Krug officiating. Inter-
merit was in Brandon Cemetery. A

on' Sunday evening ,under the aus-
pices of the Belgrave Loyal Orange
