Author Unknown Mrs. Thomas Peel Was in 78th Year GORRIE—The death occurred at '11 o'clock Sanday morning in the Palmerston General Hospital of Elizabeth Jardine, widow on:, the. late Thomas Peel of Fordwich. She had been in hospital, five days. She was horn in Howick Town- shin 77 Years ago and following her marriage .to Thos. SPeel she lived on epasesaion 7 near, Ford- wich. The paper is dated April 26, 1884, at which time two news- papers were published in the vil- lage, The Helmick Enterprise and The •Gorrie Vidette. 'Last slqonday the Gerrie band assisted by a half dozen members of the Saugeen Indian Band held an open-air concert on Main St. The Indians, who have been en- camped around Gerrie the past month or so, have all left -for their resetvation near Southampton this week.
