Desmond, the eemplaintant, and
learns that the young man has
given a debt consolidation firm a
$1,200 inheritance check to pay off
various creditors, only to find that
the firm exacted a .$950' service
charge, leaving 'him as badly in
debt as before, Moreover, the dis-
trict attorney's office has declined
to prosecute the firm. Steve; Char-
lie and the Illustrated 'Press find
themselves involved in an expen-
sive, libel suit before the final
story is written.

of "You Are There",

Tribute to . Easter •
On "Showtime"
The Easter season and the com-
ing of spring will get special atten-
tion from the Showtime company
on April 1st. The. program, a CBC
production that is seen on Chan-
nel 8 each Sunday evening at nine
o'clock, will depict spring as it
comes to the city, then spring in
the country and finally, a special
tribute to Easter.
At the opening, Shirley Harmer
and the quartet will be seen in
their Easter finery as they sing
"S'Wonderful". Then Shirley will
sing "I'm Glad There's You" and
the fit* action will end with a
special routine worked out by Alan
and Blanche Lund.
• Spring in the country will find
Shirley and Don Garrard singing
several numbet's and the dancers
cavorting to the tune of "When the
Red Red Robin".
Schubert's "Ave Maria" sung by
Don Garrard will open the final
'section, Then the ShOwtime'singers
will present the Easter hymn,
"Christ the Lord Is Risen Tocfay",
and Shirley will end the show ,with
"I Believe".
