LENT IS THEME
OF ICA: MEETING
FORDWICH—The W.A. of Trin-
ity Church Met Thursday at the
home of Mrs. Frank Graham. The
president, Mrs. Stan Forester
opened the meeting,.
Scripture reading from the 19th
Psalm was taken by Mrs. Nellie
Gamble followed by prayer, The
Litany and the Creed were read
responsively led by Mrs, R. Foster,
The roll call was answered by a
thought on Lent.
Several cards of thanks were
read from members who had been
ill, Mrs, E. Hargrave gave an
interesting reading on Lent, Lent
begins with the letter L and there
are three other words which can
help us focus on the basic prin-
ciples at the heart of Jesus' way
of life. They are Look, Listen and
Light," "Will you then during
this Lent look at Jesus, listen to
God and be a light of the world?"
the speaker asked,
A quilt was tied during the
afternoon for the bale, The meet-
ing closed with prayer and the
hostess assisted by Mrs. Jim
Strong served a lovely lunch,
