John Webb Passes
In Hospital Here
John Webb, a lifelong resident of
this area, died in Wine:Marti General
OnSpite) on Sunday, March. 9th,
after 'Sheirt illness, He was in his
131st, year,
Born. in West Wawanosh Town-
ship, he was the son of the late
Mr, and Mrs. William. Webb, He
received his edneatien at St. Helene
and farmed throughout his life in
the township, On ;June 10th, 1515,
he .married Jennie Armstrong, of
Chatsworth, who predeceased him
in January 195,3, Mr. Webb was a
member of the Anglican Church,
Surviving are one daughter, Elsie,
at home; two sister; Mrs, b'. Grain,
of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, and Mrs,

chewan, two brothers, William, of
Rosetown, Sash, and Alfred of 'St.
Helens,
Funeral service was. held on

The Rose of Tralee was sung.
Miss W. D. Rutherford read a
humorous poem, "They Know All
the Answers." Mrs. E. W. Rice
sang "A Little Bit of Heaven."

Mrs, Wilton
'Dies after Fall
Mrs. Jeseph S. Wilton, a member
of ,the staff of the Wingliam
trict High School, died suddenly
on Thursday evening as the result
.of a fractured skull, following a
fall on a patch or ice, outfildc

Mrs, Wiltofi bad attended Choir
practice at the church, and was on
her way borne with another mem-
ber of the choir at the time of the
accident, Sbe struck the back of
her head when she fell, but feeling
that she was not seriously hurt,
proceeded down the street, Heal-
ixing she had lost her glasses in
the fall, shareturned to find them.
Following the search she complain-
ed of Dot feeling well and was telt-.
en back to the church and. a doc-
tor was called. She died on the
way to the hospital.
The former Pearl Taylor, she
was born at Varna, and was the
eldest daughter of the late William
Taylor and Emma Dowson, After
attending Seaforth .Colleglate and
graduating from the Ontario Col-
lege of Education, she taught high
school at Fenelon Falls and in the
Brussels Continuation Scheel, She
