Set Daylight Saving
Mayor McKinney told council
that 'daylight saying time- will be
extended this year an extra month
in the fall, in Toronto and some'of
the larger cities. He said there
had been some suggestion that this
move he instituted in Wingham.
Mr. McKinney said that he per-
sonally was not in favor of extend-

shop in Wingham, and council de-
cided to leave dates for daylight
saving from April 29th to Septem-
ber 30th,
The mayor said that 'he had been
talking to government officials in
Toronto regarding the possibility
of getting new housing in Wing-
ham to take care of people coming
into town to Work in the new in-
dustry.
Mr. McKinney said that under
the present dispensation only towns
over 5,000 population can obtain
houSing projects under the Central.
Housing and Mortgage Corporation
and_ that without some change in
the official regulations it would be
difficult to get that type of 'housing
in Winghtn. Another problem in
obtaining additional housing hero
is the condition of the sewage
plant, which is now working to ca-
pacity, 'he said.
