hanging heavy on your hands, take
a job writing this column. It seems
only a short time since last week.
Another substitute is to write a
promissory note for more money
than you know 'that you can pay
at that time. Both of these in-
stances will make the time seem to

The Ordnance responsible for our
supplies works in devious ways.
Sgt. L. E. Dawson ordered 150
pairs of socks and received 752
brushes, tooth, Mark III, with no
bristle's attacked. It seems that
bristles must, be ordered from
SOriae other part of the catalogue.
On this information' Sgt. Dawson,
L. E. tore out some of his own
hair, but Gnr. Casemore, C.,
couldn't make the graft work so we
will have to return them. It seems
a shame- because the handles are
very pretty„

a flood and now there is a boat
nearly completed in the drill hall.
If you wish to be evacuated in this
manner leave,- your name on the

too large to go out the door but
the ceiling is fairly high and
should be quite a good place to ride
out a flood. Rations arc not guar-

Most of the -parade consisted of
a lecture. Most of those in at-
tendance caught up on their sleep.
Some of them got their directions

It would he easier on the Govern-

WHY BLAME TliE C.T.A.
Three young men were killed in
a motor accident in Huron County:
They had been drinking. They were
minors, And people are 'saying,
"Away with the C.T.A.; if it 18
repealed this will not happen
again,"
How utterly stupid can we be?
It could not have been 'the fault
of the CT.A. When there is avarice
or brutality. we do not say, "We'll
scrap the Golden Rule." let us lay
the blame where it ought to he laid
-upon greed, selfishness and the
dridk
When people wish to discredit a
good law they . will take unfair ad-
vantage, The L.C.A, does not pre-
vent drinking in general or' drink-
ing by minors, It does not prevent
accidents due to drinking drivers;
but nobody questions the validity
Of the L.C,A.
Let us be sensible and above all
let us be fair, The C.T.A., is good
legislation, What it needs is mote
support and less criticism, more
realism and less theorizing; more
boosts anti less knocking, 15b
