Elmer Osborne
Dies in Hospital
Funeral service for Elmer Os-
borne, 64, of Huron Township, wite
died on Friday in Wingham Gen-
eral Hospital, was conducted from
the McLennan funeral home in
Ripley on Monday. Rev. D. A
Brydon officiated at the fiserviee
and interment was in the Ripley
Cemetery.
Born in Huron Township, Mr,
Osborne farmed there for many
years.
Surviving are one son, Robert, at
borne; three daughters, Mrs, Dun-
can MacCallum, Brant Township;
Mrs. Robert Campbell, Ashfield
Township and Miss Donna Osborne
at home.
Mr. Osborne was a brother-in-law
of Mrs. W. J, Roulston and Charles
Smith, of Wingham.
Mrs. Temple Clark
Buried in Kinioss
Mrs. Temple Clark, of Lucknow,
died in Wingham General Hos-
pital on Sunday, January 29th, She
was in her 76th, year.
The former Jessie D. Douglas,
she is survived by a brother, Wil-
liam J. Douglas, of Lucknow, one
son, Douglas, of Ottawa and a sis-
ter, Jean, at present a patient in
the Wingham General Hospital.
Mrs. Horace Aitchison of town, and
Mrs. Bert Garniss, of Bluevale, are
nieces.
Funeral service was conducted
Tuesday at St. Peter's Anglican
Church with interment in Kinloss
Cemetery.

The regular meeting ' of the
Presbyterian Young People's Soc-

a Friend We Have in 'Jesus" was
sung and Rev. Nimmo closed the
Meeting with prayer.
Gaines were played' under the
leadership of Helen Ford.

Forum 'Meets
BELGRAVE--The Bodmin Farm
Forum met at the home of Mr, and
Mrs, Ted Fear with an attendance
of 22 with the family .farm for dis-
cussion.
The findings of the Forum were
as follows: That the family farm
is a desirable feature of Canadian
Agriculture: That they will have
to specialize in some 'Cash crops, in
order. to have ready' cash if the
family farm is going to remain.
Euchre was played with high
scores going to Annie' Balzer and
Rae Crawford and low scores ,to
Mrs. A. Bacon and Chas. Coultes.
Lunch was served by the hostess.

James Zeigler
Dies in Guelph
James Zeigler, 51, ticket and pas-
senger agent for the Canadian Na-
tional Railways in Guelph, died in
hospital there last Tuesday.
He was with the C.N.R.'s ticket
and passenger departments in Gu-
elph, London a.nd Toronto before
his appointment as city agent in
Guelph in 1949.
During World War II he was in
the Royal Canadian Army Service'
Corps, and iretirell with the rank of
lieutenant-colonel,
Surviving are his wife, the form-
er Billie Gibson, daughter of Harry
Gibson and the late Mrs. Gibson,
fOrmerly of Wingham, and one son.
Mt's. Zeigler lived in Wingham dur-
ing the war, while her husband
was with the army.

and officers of the Sunday School
who were Installed into their re-
spectivo offices by the minister,
Rev, D, J. MacRae. The Scripture,
taken from Exodus 3, 1-14, was read
by the Sunday School Superinten-
dent, Russel Zurbrigg. 'raising as
his theme, :"Go and Teach," Mr.
MacRae spoke from the last words
