S,S, No. 10 concert in the Memorial
Hall before Christmas,

ich, spent a few days last week with
her mother, Mrs. David Kennedy. •
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Solomon and
children spent Friday with her par-
ents, at Grand Valley.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robinson and
family spent Christrnas at the home
of his sister, Mrs, Joe. Thompson of
Goderich.
Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Elliott and
family, of London, spent the week-
end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Isaac Stokes, of Turnberry, and with
hrs. parents, Mr. and Mrs, Gordon El-
liott.
Mr, and Mrs. Ed Nicholson and
Coleen, of London, spent the week-
end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Hutchison. On Saturday morn-
ing at 8.45, Mrs. Hutchison and the
others had the pleasure of talking by
telephone to her sister, Mrs. Displain
and her family, at London, England.
It was 11.45 a.m, in England, and all
enjoyed a six-minute chat.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Moss and fam-
ily of Bright, spent the week-end with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Mc-
Clenaghan. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parker
and family, of Nilestown and Mr. and
Mrs. James McIntyre and son, Alan,
of Ridgetown, all spent Friday there.
Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Barbour and
Phyllis and Allen, of Fordyce, spent
Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Ben McClenaghan.
Mr. and Mrs. James E. Currie, Mr.
and Mrs. Kenneth Currie and family,
of E. Wawanosh, and Mr. David Cur-
rie and Miss Leah Currie, of Wing-
ham, spent Christmas with Mr. and

Mr, F. McK. Paterson, who spent
last week at the homes of his sons,
Frank and Scott, in Detroit, returned
home on 'Monday.
Mr. Charles Leaver left last Wed-
nesday to spend a few days with his
sister, Miss Amelia Leaver, of Lon-
don, befdre leaving to visit with Mr.
Fred Leaver, of Toronto.

children of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Christmas with'her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. Jacklin, of Wroxeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and
baby, Paid, visited on Sunday at the
Cornelius, who celebrated her nine-
tieth birthday on Sunday.
Mr. Charles Gillespie, of Kitchener,
spent the Christmas week-end at the
home of his brother, Mr. J. G. Gil-
lespie, and his sister, Mrs. Charles
Martin.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bott and child-
ren, of Belwood, and Mr. and Mrs.
James Currie, Dick and Nancy, of St.

parents, Mr. and. Mrs. Robert Pardon,
Mr. Roy Magee, of Kitchener, spent
the week-end here with his brother,
Mr. Gordon McGee who went throngh
an operation in Wingham Hospital on
Sunday. Ho has been progressing
favorably.

Wingham, epent Christmas with Mr,
and Mrs. John McGee,
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Laidlaw and
daughters, of London, spent the week-
end with her parents at Lucknow, as
well as with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs, James Laidlaw,
Mr. and Mrs, Hugh Sinnamon and
Robert, of Wingham, Mr. and Mrs.
Archie Hertle, of Kitchener, and Mr,
and Mrs. Phillip McMillan and Iso-
bel, of Lucknow, visited on Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beecroft.

family, of Molesworth, visited on Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Elliott,

family spent Christmas at the home

croft is laid up with mumps this

Wingham hospital staff, spent a few
days last week with Mr. and Mrs.
James Wilson. Mrs. Wilson Sr., who
had been a patient In Wingham Hos-
pital for two weeks, is now at the
home of Miss Frances Wilson, Wing-
ham,
Mr. and Mrs. Gershon Johnston
and Jim, of E. Wawanosh, spent Fri-
day, at the home of their daughter,
Mrs. Charles Wood, of Seaforth, Mr.
Johnston had the misfortune to lose
three cows last week after they broke
into where the chop was stored and
had a big feed of it. Mk. Johnston al-
so lost four cows by lightning last
fall. This means a very heavy loss.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cameron and
family, of Ashfield, visited oh Sunday
with Mrs and Mrs. Will Rintotil.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Zinn and
Betty and Larry spent Friday at the
