The school building has been enlarged to include a second .classroom. The new room is built with plywood walls and red vinyl tile floor. A new ceiling has been built in the original classroom and' the walls have been painted light blue. In ad- dition a new furnace room has been .built and an oil furnace installed and the size of the play ground has been increased by extensions to the north .and ,south. The junior grades of the school have been housed in the Orange Hall since January, 1949, when the enrol- ment became too high for the one ,class room. The, senior grades have occupied the club room of the Com- munity Hall since the school was be- nig completed, Total cost of the eon- ,struction amounts to about 431818. It is expected that a substantial government grant will be received in the coming year toward the cost, Euchre Clubs Meet The euchre clubs of this community met .as usual last week. High prize winners at the Belgrave Club were Mrs. R, Coultes and Jesse Wheeler and low winners were Mrs, Chris, Nethery and Martin Gra.sby. The ninth line euchre club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Woods. High prizes went to Kay Nay- lor and Clarence Hanna. Consolation prizes went to Betty Woods and Gar- ,don Woods.
